Here's what Kohl's Kicking Camps said about Walrath: Walrath recently competed at the 2017 Texas December Showcase. He showed solid leg strength and power throughout the charting and drill work at camp. He charted several 40+ yard punts and displayed solid technique during the drill work portion of camp. He also kicked off at the event and was able to hit a 69 yard kickoff, he averaged 61.5 yards per kick at camp. He's both a 4* kicker and punter.

It seems we have stack ourselves with QBs. Is it safe to assume they may be playing other positions as well? Ball is also listed as SS.

I imagine he is a PWO as an athlete, I could see him play safety or maybe inside WR if he's got enough speed.

Looking at his HUDL video, he seems to be a good athlete. Could play special teams for sure.

Kind of what I was thinking. It is good to see coaches picking the right guys for us in recruiting as well as focusing on specific positions. I think this is where the PWOs will really help build our depth and versatility.

In the article in the Las Cruces papers, it mentions that Payton Ball is coming to ACU on a athletic and academic scholarship. It also mentions that he will be playing in the defensive backfield. In the same newspaper article, it mentions the ACU connection to Sam Denmark, who is also from Las Cruces and that Sam is finishing his degree in Engineering this spring.
