Sealey gives us another good one for the O. Gates and Allen for the D? #BLACKHAZE indeed.
Biggest needs at this point: We found our future pitchers (QB). Still need some more catchers. Got some good ones so far but Another outside receiver or two would help. Plus, the QB's could use a little protection. Another big OL would be nice. A second quality RB is another need.

One more recruiting weekend. This week is tilted toward offense. My wish list to close out this class: WR Donald Monroe OL Brady Melde WR Gary McNight, Jr. I'm with ya here Oscar, I would like to see those two WR's sign and join McDuffey. I also like the two DB's previously mentioned: Rashaad Burton and Brendon Clemons. Oh and I like the secret SEC transfers . .

RB. Whatever happened to Jarek Black? His profile on Scout said ACU was interested in him. Have not heard anything else.

Scooter, I asked the same question yesterday. Scout247 says there are a passel of D1 schools interested in him (14) including ACU but no offers reported or a commitment.

Dallas Sealey played with Mike Warren, currently committed to Iowa State. Gavin Burford played with Treyvon Hughes, currently committed to UTEP. And, as we know, Chris Lide and Bryson Gates teamed with Larry Rose.

I thought Wempa committed to Lamar where his brother is. Not sure that's what I read.

An observation
Our recruiting seems to fall out like this:
We are extending offers (I assume full ride) to some guys that have offers mostly from mid-majors. We get a few of these recruits to commit to ACU. Most prefer FBS schools--UTSA, San Diego State, and Utah State and some of the schools who have commits from guys that were on our radar. We have commits from prospect with offers from SMU, Texas State, and Colorado State. I don't think we gave serious looks to anyone with offers from Big 5 (ACC, B12, B10, PAC, SEC)conferences. We probably know our chances are virtually non existent.
Most of our offers go to guys being recruited by other FCS programs. We get our share of these prospects. Maybe more than our share.
Some of our offers for partial scholarships are going to prospects with more offers from D2 schools than D1. We are winning some, losing some to D2 schools that probably offered more money than ACU.

Cody Ennis says he's signing at 8:15 a.m. in the gym. guess Coach Young will start tweeting early (early for me, I'm retired). Oscar, where will the tweets be, on a new thread?

I will start a new Signing Day Central thread. Nathan Young tweeted to watch for announcements as early as 7 AM. Dylan Douglass will sign at 10AM Sam Denmark will sign at 10:30 Mountain Time. I will post other updates as I find them.

Evidently we're expecting 26 HS signees plus the 3 transfers, leaving us 1 signee later in the summer or fall.

Evidently we're expecting 26 HS signees plus the 3 transfers, leaving us 1 signee later in the summer or fall. I am pretty sure we could count recruits who enrolled this spring against last year's numbers, which would free another couple of spots if some stud transfer wants to come our way.

OK. I asked this a while back and didn't get an answer. Maybe Cat_A_holic can find out. Are the two JC transfers on campus yet and when will McDuffie get there?
