Lamar is playing good defense and we aren't able to get an inside game going yet. Luckily we are still hitting some 3s. Still, our 3s are 45% to their 80%. Our FG is only 37% to their 47%. I think we are lucky to still be up 24-20 right now.

I wonder if Lamar can keep it up for the 2nd half. ACU is up by 8 at the half: 36-28.

We are a grind it out team. We wear people down with our subbing. The inside game will come in the 2nd half. I like Gayman getting back on track. Mason coming off the bench is a great move IMHO. The guys defense is really looking good despite Lamar's 3 point makes. Unless Lamar keeps making 3's we ought to dominate the 2nd half.

The negative I see is Kohl rushing his shots. Don't think he has to vs this Lamar team. Other guys are picking up the slack like a good team does.

We have slowed down their 3s already, so I do expect us to begin to open it up a bit as the 2nd half goes on. I wish we were hitting the board more on offense, but we do have twice as many offensive rebounds than Lamar, even though we only have one more total rebounds. Our 3 ptrs are up to almost 47%.

They are working hard to cover Kolton inside.

Well, I though that we had slowed down their 3s, but they keep hitting them. Buster has hit several and they are still at 87%. That's keep anyone in the game. We are up by 8, but not getting separation yet.

Stifling, suffocating, tenacious D is a pleasure to watch.

Not the most talented of competition, but nonetheless one of the most technically strong games the men have played. Great use of their speed and defense and the ball movement was better than average for an excellent motion team. The score could have been move than a 20 point victory, easily. The men played great. So we take it by 15 in easy style.

Even their announcers were very complimentary of our defense.

Even their announcers were very complimentary of our defense. Got to hand it to the announcers, they were very balanced and very good analysts of why ACU is a winner. I enjoyed the comment about them wanting to see SFA and ACU play but I wanted one of them to check the schedule and say, "Wait, ACU beat SFA by 20 already (albeit at home.)
