This is going to seem like new news, but really it is news that I found out yesterday WRs Darius Lewis and Solomon Cole left the program Given the leadership change, I suspect the first of many.

SELA is a top ten program, does he think he will get more playing time there? If he does, that’s good for him. If he is good enough to play there, I’m curious as to why he wasn’t playing here. He is from New Orleans which is 45 minutes away. Beyond that I am not sure. Thanks for the reminder. This makes more sense.

Robert McKnight is entering the transfer portal as well.

Robert McKnight is entering the transfer portal as well. The most surprising part of this is not that he is not playing at ACU next year, the most surprising part is that he still has eligibility. I hope McKnight finds somewhere he can thrive.

Is the transfer portal a one time useage opportunity for players or can a player use it multiple times?

Looking at our roster, how can Jordan Paup be a redshirt freshman in 2021 when he was a redshirt freshman at Nebraska in 2018 (3 years ago) We have the beginnings of a really good OL if all our starters return and all were truly redshirt freshmen this year.

A player can enter the transfer portal at anytime. Now, here is the difference, there is a 1-time transfer policy in place. Here is what it means-
If a player transferred into our program last year, he is eligible to transfer again, but he will NOT be eligible to play next year. He will have to sit out a year to play FCS or FBS.

Guess we will soon find out how many guys want to be at ACU because of what ACU offers and how many are just here for football and the recent coaching staff.

That's not totally true. We have to understand that these players know that whoever the new coach/coaching staff is, they will want to bring in their own players that fit their scheme. Whoever we get in here to be the HC will have no loyalty to the current players. A guy could have been a starter for 2-3 years here, but that means nothing now

That is true. And may be a good thing. If you've been a starter for 2-3 years and can't keep your starting position then that means the new guy probably brought in a better athlete.

I want to know who is willing to stay AND fight to be on the field? I do understand that a coach's preferences and schemes may help dictate their preferred personnel, but we have several athletes that can do more than what Dorrel wanted to do.

This morning on twitter I see this tweet from a David Cole -- I am assuming this is Solomon Cole's Father -- which was in response to the announcement of Coach Dorrel's being let go. "David Cole @davidcoleworld · 10h Replying to @acusports The best thing for this program. This coach was a horrible person. No integrity at all. The school is much better now. Now they just need to get rid of the wide receiver coach"

Curlee is the first coach to make it known he is gone. He is only listed as a WR Coach on his twitter handle
