How have we regressed in 4 years from a team that beat Sam in Huntsville, McNeese in Lake Charles, Nichols at home to a team trying to keep Sam Houston from routing us? Part of the answer is Sam decided to make investments and get better. They stormed the portal looking for players to fix their problems. Their freshmen recruiting was good but not great in the last two years. The Cats have graduated (and transferred) some team leaders and have had key injuries and have not been able to sustain depth.

That was a commanding win by SFA over E. Kentucky.

I don't think SFA can be written off as a playoff team yet, assuming they can beat UCA. EKU is out unless they can upset Sam Houston.

I don't think SFA can be written off as a playoff team yet. EKU is out. They are at least in the mix for an at large if they win out. Given the way they are playing, I think they have a good shot. Lamar will be no problem. UCA will give them a battle, but I think they showed tonight that they are ready. Any injuries would be my question. What's interesting is that we are #3 in the WAC standings right now. It will change though. I am watching the Tarleton game closely.

Yep **The Tarleton receiver just pulled down a one handed grab on the 2 with the Lamar defender literally pulling him down by the jersey before he ever jumped up. Now 35-14 Tarleton.**

Maybe Lamar can wear them down a little? They just scored on an end-around. Although, I will be surprised if they come back to win.

Though our pass coverage made some improvements today, this will be a challenging game. We will be dealing with a similar talented QB that can both run and throw. Trying to consistently stop both will be difficult.
