Pretty weak performance by the Cowboys. Looks like another long season of dissappointment.

Amazingly, the Cowboys have won 4 consecutive games since Cooper Rush came in for Dak Prescott. Only Philadelphia, their next opponent is left as undefeated.

I have not been completely won over by Dak, but he had a pretty fine game against the Eagles. Still it was the turn-overs that allowed the late Dallas scores.

Last game of regular season, and against a losing record team... and Dallas looks like a bottom tier team. I want to like Dak but he seems slow and predictable. The whole team looks like it is taking the week off before any playoffs, so I hope there are no injuries. A first time ever starting quarterback is up 13-0 early in the second.
As an old BB addict, I was disappointed when the NBA lost its appeal for me. I really enjoy the college game. Now football is beginning to lose its appeal at the NFL level, while collegiate level is still very enjoyable. I never thought I would become numb to the Dallas Cowboys, but now, well, they are just sort of a favorite of mine -- not a team I would drive to Dallas to watch.

Halftime in the Dallas/Tampa Bay game and the Cowboys have three touchdowns and have missed three extra points. So it is 18-0. Terrible kicking. Correction... Dallas kicker has missed four extra points this game alone and five in a role.

On his fifth try of the night, the Cowboys' Maher finally makes an extra point. Dallas up 31-6 early in fourth. Best game Dak has played in a while. Dallas D is really playing well against Tom Brady. Wonder if this will be his last?

Finally Dak was getting rid of the ball early when pressured. Best game he has played as a Cowboy.

49'ers vs. Cowboys game looks a bit worrisome. Pollard is being carted off with an injury. Dak only OK, not dominate. Cowboy kicker gets extra point blocked. Halftime is 9-6 49'ers. Problem is Dallas had a field goal opportunity but with their kicker they did not attempt it and turned it over on downs. This allowed SF to start ten yards closer and they got down to a 50 yarder with one second left. A good Dallas kicker would have likely reversed the halftime score.

Don't think Dallas has enough to pull it off today.

I am not sure Dak is the quarterback we need to make it back to championships, and Zeke is past his prime. With a normal pro kicker the Cowboys would have led 9-6 at half

The defense is strong except for CB's. The offense has lacked personnel to be consistently good for a long time. Dak is never going to be a championship QB. We've stayed with Elliot over Pollard way too long. Gallup will never be a trusted receiver and neither will be Noah? Brown. TY Hilton disappeared yesterday. The think tank has gotten themselves in trouble with long term contracts to severely under performing players. If Quinn (DC) stays the only change I'd make to the defense is to get rid of Diggs (he cost us this game by cowarding out on the big play by Kittle bobbling the pass for 15 yds down the field). A simple tackle while he was bobbling the ball would have prevented the catch but Diggs refuses to tackle. We have to build a durable offense and I think that includes a change at QB, a new corps of RB's headed by Pollard, and new receivers replacing Gallup and Brown. Can Turpin be slot guy? Might be worth a try. I see how SF uses McCaffey and Samuels, how KC uses 3-4 RB's every game, how Miami used Tyreek Hill (and KC before) and then cringe at how none creative Dallas is on offense (with personnel and sometimes plays). That must change. And did I mention a kicker. Can Maher clear his demons? Do we risk another year? Does Jones have the guts to upgrade this team or will it be another "status quo" year of tease but no championship? IMHO

I would trade Zeke if we could get anyone of value for him, same for Diggs. Jones seems sold on Dak. So maybe we will have to have a new owner before we are truly competitive. Quinn will likely go I think. He probably does not want to hear about this year for much longer.
