I get the final decision on my attendance status tomorrow. 😂 Flowers, Chocolate, and Dishes should help. Bring a friend to the game also. I’ve got my Baylor cousin lined up. ACU is his 2nd team. I’m putting up the Christmas tree today as requested. The flowers are on the table. Heck, I think I’ll even light a rosary candle! 😂

We only had 4421 fans in the stands for the final home game against Sam Houston St last year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We have to do much better than that this Saturday.

I can’t believe we had THAT many last year! Completely different situation this year, surely it will be better. It is going to be chilly though.

And he doesn’t have to do anything. I may have to rethink this arrangement……

A heads up for all Football Alumni this coming Saturday. All alumni are invited to Buffalo Wild Wings north of 20 at Noon to hang out before the game. There are a bunch of alums that are trying to breath life back into our football alumni network. If you would like to join, I have the sign up link posted below. Trying to build something where we get to see each other a few times a year, connect with other eras of former players, and create an atmosphere that supports our current football players. docs.google.com/forms/d/1AvYkw8KscGsaFEOhrjgZ5bGKyEPtbHMWKCKJbn6YgLE/editThis is a great thing. I hope you guys find a way to get the info from current players so all can be involved after they finish their time at ACU. I know football creates a family and a great network.

If I remember correctly, it was also about 85 degrees for that last game. Hardly November football weather, plus it was a meaningless game at the end of a disappointing season.

Do a significant number of students typically leave the weekend before Thanksgiving? Looks like it is going to be cold tailgating. Wonder if all of the usual tents will show up.

For 1 the high for Saturday is 47 degrees and its the Saturday before thanksgiving break and many of the students haven't been home since the summer.

How do we convince parents of students to visit Abilene this weekend? I understand this is ridiculous, but 12 months ago, it was ridiculous to think that ACU football would be one win from winning the WAC. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, and classmates this is a game they wouldn’t want to miss.

How many of these students have been snow skiing?

You are either a student football fan or you aren’t. I can guarantee the Ohio State student section will be full on Thanksgiving weekend in colder weather when they play their rival Michigan. SFA is a rivalry game for ACU.
