Depends on who's having less 'fun' in Vegas. I'd take Tarleton for the simple fact ACU struggles away from home. AI says: Abilene Christian 71, Tarleton State 62. Caesar's SportsBook giving 6.5 points to the Texans. Addison Martin was out for the game in Stephenville. I feel good about this game. …and Tarleton shot unworldly in the first half.

16 all end of first quarter and ACU playing a bit out of rhythm. We may need Mays to stop Tarleton's layups.

Wildcats go on 18-0 run to take the lead in the 2nd quarter.

One quarter to show we deserve to go forward. 3rd quarter was a disaster.

Why are we not coached to stop drives. Does anyone talk on defense?

I really didn’t see this coming. Tarleton is making it look easy.

Very poor showing by a team with lots of promise and talent. We need height and strong rebounders.

I hate it when I'm right. Troubling end to the year.

Not only was Addison out but it was the last game of 4 road games in a row and it was the first game after Aspen Thornton left the team. The Cats were pretty emotionally spent. I look for the Cats to win big. I had hoped you would be right. I really did. Unfortunately, history shows that it's more complicated than just who did or didn't play in previous games or what games we previously played. I love coach Goodenough, she cares about our girls more than anyone I know. At the same time, we have a history of losing big games under her and when we are pressured really hard. When teams plan well against us and we don't adjust we consistently get what happened today. Inconsistency has been the order of the day for the last couple of seasons. This is where people get mad at me because I see coach Goodenough as a better devotional leader than I do a coach. She can get our girls to feel REALLY good about themselves and even make wonderful Christian leaders for today and tomorrow. She can coach decent teams. Over her history (beyond the first couple of seasons), she fails to produce championship teams that are tough and consistently athletic above and beyond the competition. Kuddos to Tarleton, they turned it up, even after we got ahead. They made the adjustments and we didn't. We kept trying to go inside and got blocked over and over while failing to block the lanes on them. Yes, we are a very young team and I look forward to seeing these players get better but it's more than that. Will our young "bigs" coming in make any difference?

Just really discouraged about our showing (loss). We have the leagues leading 3point shooter and can only get her 2 shots from distance. We continually tried to drive inside where Acker was dominating and intimidating and we were rejected. On defense we play the man and not the ball, so when we get beat by pass or dribble we are too late to help because we are watching our man.

So Sad ….. So Sad. Another game lost because our coach refused to take advantage of the great talent our players have. 😢😢. Well - Maybe someday.

This one was tough and very disappointing. I understand why we substitute so much, but when the team is confident and flowing well, don't break the momentum. The ladies are young and will have a future ahead but this game should have been an easy win.

She often pulls players as they are getting hot.

And the '23/'24 season ends with Cal Baptist getting crushed by UCLA in the NCAA tournament. So I'm closing this thread and opening a 24/25 thread.
