Attending the game in person was entirely uninspiring. Our offense is very predictable so I fear next week unless we tighten things up. We should have won by 40 points this afternoon. They did have a fine quarterback and a fine small receiver (No.11) that one of our ex-head coaches that I was sitting with said must weigh 135 pounds. Their QB did a pretty good job of looking for more than just his first playbook receiver. We don't do those "look offs" very well but when we do, we normally get a fine play. The refs let them play, calling very few pass interference plays. Both teams did a lot of pass interference stuff. The crowd was very small, embarrassing so. I guess only around 4,000 people there and the student section was almost empty. I think the season we have played has been a bit deflating and that has diminished enthusiasm for attendance. Nice fly over by Dyess. We salute our military. Glad for the win, now lets figure out how to beat Tarleton.

After watching A&M's kicker short kick a field goal to tie the game, I'm even more thankful for Ramsey.
We need to give away tickets or something. It is embarrassing when they show the stands and the visitor side is virtually empty and the home side pretty sparse as well.

Will Ramsey be out of eligibility after this season? It sure has been nice having him this year. Ramsey has two more years after this year. So does Nickel. Best news I've heard all day! Now just have to hope some FBS program doesn't steal them. Nickel did a great job keeping Utah Tech pinned near their goal line a couple of times. How long can Ramsey drag out earning an MBA?

Next week might be really tough. Tarleton is blowing SFA off the field. 35-10 Texans with 14 minutes to go in the second quarter. Domination.

And Tarleton is like SFA in that they LOVE to beat ACU.

We will never hear the end of it if Tarleton beats us next week. We cannot let it happen. Halfway through 3rd Qtr. Tarleton 49-10 over SFA. SFA has imploded.

Nice fly over by Dyess. We salute our military. Glad for the win, now lets figure out how to beat Tarleton. We have season tix, but there were several conflicting things for us this weekend. I contacted several of my family members in Abilene and no one would take my tix (all of them ACU alum). While I am pleased that ACU won this week, even the wins are not particularly inspiring. I watched parts of the game on TV and the offense simply does not inspire a lot of confidence that the 'Cats. I was impressed with the spunk that the defense showed -- those 4th down stands were cool. The Tarleton game will be tough. I tried to give my tix away for that game as well, but no luck yet. I will try to shuffle some things around on the ol' schedule to make that game, but this week all of the missionaries are being brought back to the states and we are liaisons for one of the missionaries -- I probably can't talk my wife into skipping of the events to drive to Abilene for the game. Looks like it might be another year when we only get to use season tickets for 2 home games. One good note about the season, this win gives the 'Cats as reasonable chance to finish above .500 on the season.

Not sure how you can win a game 24-7 with only 302 yards of offense, but the defense played quite strong, so we will take the win.

1. Couple of things I noticed: Massey was in street clothes. Pullen started for Ghirmai (and played really well). Tristan Golightly did not play. Neither Rovaughn or Xavier played. Colt Carpenter looks like he belongs at DE. 2. I am never bored when we win. We pretty much controlled the game. An ugly win is far better than a sexy loss. 3. Our kickers are ridiculous. 4. For those who question our offense. Note that we took the ball on our 10 early in the 4th quarter and had a 15 play, 7:50 90 yard drive for a TD to put the game out of reach. No, it wasn’t flashy but that’s one of the beast offensive series this year. 5. What was their coach thinking by by going against the wind to start the 3rd quarter?

I guess it was a game-time decision for him not to play. I agree Pullen is playing very well. It was his third straight start at right tackle.

Ghirmai has not played in 3 1/2 games. Was he even on the sidelines? I've been asking about his absense for weeks. Yes, Colt Cooper looks like a natural at DE. I hated the move because I thought he was our best TE but the staff seems married to Castles. On the otherhand I'm glad this staff is willing to find the best fits for our players. An encouraging note to me is the success of some of our freshmen recruits and young transfer portal guys. I wasn't sold on the quality of some of our freshman class but boy am I enthused with Lawson, Herpin, Gambs, Ty Williams and Jameer Dudley. If some of the OL and other DB recruits get to the field next year we will have a solid building core. I'm still hoping that Boykins and Williams will be contributors at WR. With Sunday and Vaughan we look to be solid at RB in the future. I just hooe we can keep these guys.

I want to keep our field goal kicker. That kid has a future in the NFL.
