To be confirmed, but looks like Abilene HS players Derek Scott, Mark Pearson, and Connor Nichols all committed. Scott is a big commit! If accurate, this is great news.

From a reliable source the 6 men that supposedly quit the baseball team turned out to be a hoax.

From a reliable source the 6 men that supposedly quit the baseball team turned out to be a hoax. Hmmm. It was Britt that told me. But he didn't say they quit, he said they weren't coming back. it's possible I misunderstood, for sure. On a brighter note, the Scott kid is a good left handed pitcher. I think he will do well.

Enjoyed Coach Bonneau's tweeting during the 1st fall game. Anyone take the game in 1st hand. I'd certainly like to see some good hitters in the lineup and an upgrade in the pitching staff (wouldn't everyone in college baseball?) How about those Royals?

www.ktxs.com/news/Four-Eagles-sign-to-play-collegiate-baseball/29686974Markwardt leads remaining list of Argyle Eagles Hunter Markwardt didn’t waste any time picking where he wanted to play at the next level. The speedy Argyle senior signed to play Division I baseball at Abilene Christian University on Wednesday. “I jumped on the first offer because I knew it was a really good fit from the beginning,” said Markwardt, who is also a standout on the Argyle football team. “The coaches were great, and I loved the atmosphere. I’m just hoping to get an opportunity to play.” Argyle coach Ricky Griffin said one of the main attributes that got Markwardt signed was his speed. Griffin said Markwardt ran a 60-yard dash in 6.4 seconds. Last year, he stole 21 bases while helping the Eagles advance to the Class 3A state tournament.
