That is a huge win for ACU. While DBU is not ranked in the top 25 this year, they were ranked top 25 for virtually all of 2015. Has to be a confidence builder for a young 'Cats team.

WARNING! WARNING! Negative comment coming. Baseball progress? Thru 36 games we have scored 5 or less runs in 28. "28" We are averaging less than 3.8 runs per game. We have hit 9 HRs so far this year (we moved in the fences, remember). For comparison, Coastal Carolina has four (4) players with 9 or more HRs while playing against Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia, Duke, North Carolina St., Cincinnati, Mississippi, Wake Forest, Illinois (and Georgia Tech to come). We have one (1) regular hitting over .300 and as a team we strike out nearly 8 times per game. To our credit our 3 man pitching rotation of deMeyere, Mason, and Carroll have been pretty good with an era of 4.01, 3.72, and 2.63 but when you can't score, you can't win--no matter how good your pitching is. When will this team be upgraded?

A good clip to file in the memory bank before church. Have a little faith baby, have a little FAITH. Try not to laugh in the middle of the sermon.

And now we lose a game when we hit a home run but the batter passes a runner on the bases to negate the winning run. How is this even possible?

Negative waves? Blew him right past the baserunner before him, maybe?
Ya see what sending out them negative waves did, Bogeyarity.

Ya see what sending out them negative waves did, Bogeyarity. OK I'm with Bogey on this one. How does one pass a runner on a home run ball? I'm feeling negative waves here. If anyone can explain what happened please do!

From ACUSports.com:
"However, Markwardt – thinking the ball might not go out – went back to the bag to tag up, trying to move up to second if the ball were to be caught. Meanwhile, Crippen was running with his head and didn't see Markwardt on the bag and passed him on the bases. Crippen was immediately ruled out and Markwardt was allowed to score on what was credited to be an RBI single by Crippen."

Look on the bright side, at least all 3 starters we've been rolling out for the weekends, oh and our weekday starter as well, are all seniors...

For Crippen Being passed on the base path was normal for me in softball. Shivers and Flash were always pushing me to RUN as they were on my heels.

Luckily either Jackson or Cole batted after me so it was not a problem.
The same game that I hit the legendary tape measure home run I also hit a double. Although if you don't touch first base it becomes 3U.

Our Plano tournament team which included Flash, Dennis Richardson, Tommy Mitchell and Doug Wood left Bogeyman "no where to run, no where to hide." If you know what I mean?

Let's see, tonight SFA gets 12 hits and scores 11 runs. ACU gets 10 hits and scores 2 runs. Maybe move the wall in again, to just behind the infield.
