LaFrance was announced on signing day as a signee. Wildcatter, why are you saying he is "wait and see?" Feb 18 post

Because of our recent history of JUCO players. It seems as if it's been a toss up as to whether or not they qualify academically or show up to school or stick around once they get here.

Bogey, LaFrance was not on the list issued on February 2 - the only transfers on that list were the already-defected Trayvone Blake and Trevor Crain - who looked very good in spring practices. As early as Feb 18, LaFrance's name was showing up on this board after it was tweeted that he had signed with ACU.
JC kids are always a little bit scary. In order to be immediately eligible, they must receive their Associates degree from the JC, unless they went to the JC initially as a D-I qualifier. If indeed AJ Tolbert has bailed out, the addition of LaFrance becomes even more important.

Okay Bogey, let me help you out-
Crain still enrolled.
Blake no longer at ACU.
It is likely that LaFrance will be here over the summer. Nothing I have seen indicates he will not be here. In fact his twitter says NO, to CALI to TX.

There is no indication that LaFrance won't be here.
All I'm saying is we had Olie, the two kids from Butler two years ago, then Blake all come and go.

Thanks, I need all the help I can get. I misread acutrackfans post to say "Crain had defected along with Blake." Very hopeful that Crain sticks and LaFrance gets here--eligible. We need the bodies and those two appear to be players.

Sorry, Bogey. I should have been more overt about separating Blake and Crain - Blake is the defector and Crain is being depended upon for big things in 2016. As they might have said in Young Frankenstein -- Blake - BAAAAD; Crain - GOOOOOD.

Blake quit after about a week of spring practice.
Crain didn't play in the scrimmage ... He was dinged a little but should be just fine.

Another WR/DB in the fold. Jordan Lawson from Mansfield. There are a bunch of 2016 WRs. I think they must be looking at him as a DB. His high school film had him playing both ways at times.
