Guys that have transferred out- CB Jabari Butler FB Colton Cohea RB RJ Harmon RB Eric Shay-Clayburn S Chas Townsend By my count, this puts us at 11 available scholarships for 2017. Now, it is also very likely that a few more guys will transfer out and that we have not yet had the full allotment of scholarships. Needs QB- 1 (McKenzie graduating) RB- 2 (Harmon transfers and Duncan graduating) WR- 0 (thus far, we lose Haynes, but if everyone else stays, I do not believe that we will need to add to this spot) TE/HB- 1 (Cohea transfers) OL- 2+ (No loses on the line as of yet, but I would anticipate us having more than 10 OLinemen for 2017) DE- 1 (no loses at DE thus far, but could use more depth for sure) DT- 1 (Josh Bloom graduating) LB- 0 (all returning thus far) CB- 3 (Barnett and Baker graduate; Butler transfers) S- 2 (Griffin and Arnold graduate) From now until Jan. 11 is a dead period. Coaches CANNOT contact players, but players can contact coaches. Once Jan. 11 comes, I fully anticipate this new coaching staff to hit the ground running. I do NOT anticipate us having a full class by Feb. 1, however, recruiting never stops. I would think this staff will be looking at FBS and JUCO transfers. Another thing that several folks on here have wanted is local recruiting. That is one thing the coach that shall not be named.... has done very well. Once a coaching staff is named, I will try my best to be out front of the recruiting news.

Once a coaching staff is named, I will try my best to be out front of the recruiting news. Community support and local recruiting. Two huge strengths of the coach that shall not be named.

Clayburn and Townsend official gone 2 running backs left on our roster. Immediate help needed .....have been listening for several weeks, and had to at least finally reply. ACU has a PWO RB from Fort Worth Christian, the same school that produced Cade Stone and Jamie Walker. Not saying this is "the guy", or that ACU doesn't need additional RB's, but your leaving out someone that had scholarship offers to DII schools, including Harding, but decided last April to be a preferred walk-on here at ACU. I coached this kid in football and track, and believe he would have had more recognition had he not shattered his collar bone his junior year. Gaudy stats as a senior, which you can see on Hudl, an A student in the classroom, hard worker in the weight room. Ran scout team RB entire fall here at ACU. Just wanted to remind you of this young man that is already here at ACU.

Walk Ons are not mentioned on signing day and often go unnoticed. Adrian Duncan started as either a PWO or low scholarship player and wound up as our most dependable back the past two seasons. Maybe your guy will do the same.

But im glad he's still in the team, every player helps.

Thanks for mentioning his name. I would have had no idea. As mentioned, most of the walk-on or PWO at ACU don't get much pub. I said it on another thread, but every player should see this spring as a chance to prove themselves. I hope he sticks with it and proves to be a valuable asset. Watching his high school film he can definitely play. Short and stocky with some speed. Unfortunately, a lot of the walk on kids from the TAPPS ACU feeder schools don't really stick it out, I hope he's one of the ones that does.
