Anything else you guys want me to wish for? I missed a bit on size but... Tude and I have both been hoping for an agile 6’5 0r above 310 lb Left tackle, preferably a Power 5 step down who has seen the field. I’d also like to see a 6’3 QB step down who can challenge Luke for the starting job and a lanky wr or two with speed to burn and a great vertical leap.

I'll have a larger update later today.
Look for the staff to have 3 visit days: Jan 19-20, Jan 26-27, and Feb 2-3. These will be primarily for HS players, but there could be some JUCO transfers that are May grads
National Signing Day is Wednesday, February 7

I'm thinking a couple on Oscar's wish list who are fine young P5 all-American players who have received the calling to preach ....

Just saw an interesting tweet from Bruce Feldman who covers NCAA recruiting. He said there are many players around the country who have signed, but the player asked the school not to announce them until February. The issue here is a school could try and recruit a player that has already signed. Unless the player tells that staff, they have no way of knowing he has already signed.
Makes me wonder if we have some silent commits

Speaking of coveted possible transfers,... 247sports.com/college/texas/Bolt/Texas-veteran-lineman-Jake-McMillon-goes-through-Senior-Night-111007157x AUSTIN – Jake McMillon has one year of eligibility remaining at Texas, but the two-year starter along the offensive line might not be back for the 2018 season. McMillon, a fourth-year junior from Abilene, participated in Senior Night along with the other Longhorns who are playing their final home game on Friday night against Texas Tech. While the school has made no official announcement that McMillon will be moving on following the season, underclassmen who have participated in Senior Night are typically those who’ve made the decision to move on from football at the end of the season. Just a reminder that you heard it first from the Tude. I actually heard not that he will transfer but that he might get married and go on with life. But wishing ... This is what iI am hearing as well. He graduated last spring and may just be ready to give up football and move on. Maybe he will announce something after UT’s bowl game.

Also found out that OL Tamatoa Neher is not officially committed to Kent St. They had a coaching change announced right before signing day. He could still end up there, but at the moment he is not committed anywhere

He could still end up there, but at the moment he is not committed anywhere Neher tweeted congrats to Napierkowski for coming to ACU and he tweeted thanks to us for our offer before that, so at least we are still on his radar. Murray State wants him too though. Neher, you'll see much better football here

I figured many have seen this on DeLeon's Point but figured that I would add it here. It's nice to have it in the club level this year.
"ACU will once again host a National Football Signing Day Show, this year set for Wednesday, Feb. 7, in the Brown Club Level (third floor) of Wildcat Stadium. ACU fans are invited to attend the show, which will start at 5 p.m. and feature head football coach Adam Dorrel and voice of the Wildcats Grant Boone as they introduce members of this year's signing class."

OK, so Cattitude says he was told that we are set at QB. Remind me again who we have at that position. Anthony--played 2 games for us (got hurt). Klayman--JUCO signee. Hammack--transfer from McMurry, who hasn't played a down for us (was on roster last year). Davis--a running QB who got in on a few plays. So where is the depth at this position if we don't sign someone else with potential?

So where is the depth at this position if we don't sign someone else with potential? I am reporting what the coaches told me first hand. They are happy with their depth and are not pursuing another quarterback. I have watched Davis in practice- he has a chance to be very good. He has an above average and accurate arm.

Also, we are still very thin at RB. I think we added 2 good ones in McCrary and McKnight, but we only have two others who have played--James and Bunting. We need more RB's. This is a position that takes lots of hits and it is conceivable that we could lose players quickly at this position. When you lose RB's then you have to pass more, the more you pass the more you put your QB's in jeopardy and we're thin there too. It would be nice to have more beef up front but IMHO, we are too thin behind them to not recruit (a) or (some) QB's and RB's.
