We are already looking forward to next season so I thought I might make it official. After talking to coaches this week, I’m not hearing that there are any transfers for the coming season in the pipeline although I’m pretty sure they are still looking. I actually think they would rather have someone who is willing to sit a year ala LexiD and Anna as opposed to a Grad transfer. The Cats played 2018-19 with 15 on the roster (14 at mid-term). Just speculation but I wonder if they aren’t happier with 12 or maybe 13. Despite losing Jazz and Kayla, we aren’t necessarily desperate at point guard. Kamryn Mraz is very talented and will be a good backup to Breanna and likely the starter in 2020. Also, Pam Herrera will be a senior and can definitely give quality minutes. Freshman of the year Miya Crump of Lamar is transferring to the University of Houston. That hurts the Cards for sure.
A little tidbit ... Texas Tech is coming to Moody next fall to play the ACU women. That should be fun.
And it looks like ACUWBB will travel to Norman to take on the OU Sooners during the 2020-21 season.
Another little tidbit ...
Texas Tech bought out the game in Moody. Clearly they took one look at our team this year and scheduled someone they know they can beat. I hate this...Moody would have been rockin'. Last year we lost 105-54 but only after Tech changed the date of the game at the last minute forcing our women to return to campus early after Xmas where they had one practice before leaving for Lubbock. Maybe it's time we stopped scheduling Tech.
And, we now know that ACUWBB is traveling to Norman THIS year (Nov 26)!

A shout out from Moody Coliseum where the WBB team is working to return to the NCAAs next year. Their goal is not just to go again but to earn an 11 or 12 seed. With no new (to campus) players, the coaches are working on things that they would not necessarily work at this point. Even this early, the 3-bombs are dropping. This is going to be a fun season.
