I would think that a young man like Lee would be comfortable learning in lots of settings before finding his niche. That would mean staying for short stints at places he felt would prepare him for the long haul. Wouldn't surprise me at all that he left Purdue after only a year or so. Wouldn't mean he didn't do a good job but it would serve as a building block to his long term goals. I wasn't particularly a Lee DeLeon fan but neither did I consider his time at ACU a failure. We both learned and that's what growth is about. I wish he and his family well.
I hope this proves to be a good move for him, especially as assistant AD. He seems to be very good at his talents but not always cut out for a complete AD position yet.
He is young and made some young mistakes here and there! I think he will do well as he does have some talents. Honestly I always liked Lee as he seemed to treat all us fans equally regardless of position on the donation chain. I wish him well.
