It will be interesting to see how they match up with Wright St. tomorrow. I like seeing us play more and more mid-major programs in our OOC schedule. We are definitely doing a lot more travelling. I looked up the Wright St. facilities ... really nice.

Didn't feel like a good showing for the Cats tonight. Oklahoma outhustled us, was quicker to loose balls, blocked us under the basket and kept pressure on our 3 point shooters. We just don't have any who can get off the floor. We have long arms and cause lots of problems when the ball goes inside but if the ball goes up we struggle. Several times the OU player missed a layup but was able to rebound her own miss and score. And 50% foul shooting won't cut it either. We only had 10 tonight but those 5 misses came at crucial times when we could have made a run to get back in it. Anna Mcleod seems to be pressing, maybe a little rust from missing a year of competition. She just needs to let the game come to her. Maybe tonight was needed for players and coaches. Again, Wright played all 40 minutes in a game that really didn't mean all that much and Kirgan only 3 minutes when OU was scoring under the bucket. Doesn't make sense to me but I'm just a fan. Why can't we get our scorers open looks like OU did for Robertson and Gregory?

Maybe its because OU is in the Big 12. The fact that we only lost by 13 points to OU is incredible to me. It would have been a major upset had we won. Proud of this team and the way they fought. This will make us better come Southland Conference time

Missouri St., who is one of the top mid major teams according to that silly poll, already beat OU fwiw.
Oh and they beat SFA by 7.

IMHO, the fact that we lost to OU by 13 is NOT incredible. We should have been favored. They are in a very down year, playing mostly freshmen and sophs. They have already been beaten badly by a team that is on par with us and only beat SFA by 7 as has been said. (We are better than SFA). Some day we are going to have to quit thinking we are the little sisters of the poor and see our teams for what they are (competitive with most anyone on any given night). We are a good team with lots of length. We beat OKie State several years ago and are on par with the mediocre middle of the Big 12 (which is where OU is this year). We had a dreadful shooting night and lost by 13. They shot lights out in the 2nd half. We reverse just 2 3-point shots for each side and this game is even.

Never said we were the little sisters of the poor, but maybe we should quit thinking we should win every game we play. I agree that we will compete every night, but it does not mean we will win.
If we win that game, it is an upset, much like SFA men beating OU. And if you are talking about OU losing to Missouri St, we are not on Missouri States level. Missouri State is in the top 25 in the coaches poll, we aren't. Missouri State went to the Sweet 16 last year. Also, they did not get beat badly; OU lost by 6 points. I love our teams as much as anyone, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Our womens team is really, really good, make no doubt about it. But they will have off nights and sometimes, they might face a team that is better.

The coaches were concerned with the quickness of OU and sure enough, OU is much quicker. On the other hand, if a few 3-pointers has fallen, we might have won.
