I guess if he signed, He’s a Poke.

Looking forward to the day when guys consistently choose ACU over SHSU and UCA. That will be a next step for me.

Considering that 247 doesn’t even have an ACU recruiting page, I don’t think this matters much.

Yep, no way that list is accurate. Sam Houston has a third of the commits we do.
It would be really cool to have a 247 page. Sometimes, I wonder if the school has to request for one.

They do have a nice pipeline to UT, etc. I agree. ACU has to look at much more than just football talent. Academics and at least some sense of morality is required to fit in. Our coaches don't have an easy time but I know ACU is a perfect fit for some guys and am thrilled when they also happen to be great football players.

Yep, no way that list is accurate. Sam Houston has a third of the commits we do. It would be really cool to have a 247 page. Sometimes, I wonder if the school has to request for one. I have written to 247 technical support about this issue and questioned why all/most Southland teams had home pages except ACU. I asked if a school had to pay them money to get a homepage--and all the collusion that would go with that. I asked if a private donor had to give them money to create a page, or if requests from fans would be sufficient. My case was that they already had all the links to cover ACU and they just needed to create the home page or take down all the other Southland pages. The heart of my argument was a case for equity in reporting. My request may have gotten under their skin. They wrote me back and said that the creation of page did not depend on a donation and that schools did NOT have to pay for pages. They said they would take the matter under advisement. I haven't looked around at 247 home pages for Southland schools in a while. It looks like some of the football side of things has been stripped down a little, across the board for Southland schools. Football is not even an option in the tabs at the top of the page. If you do a little work, you can surf and find pages that show what players have received offers or have made visits to Southland schools. There's still inequity because nothing like that happens for ACU. However, their coverage has improved slightly. 247 Sports now acknowledges when a player they have created a page for commits to ACU. See the example of Christian Satterfield. This is an upgrade over their coverage of last year's players. Note how they still list Brendan Harmon as a Rice commit. I would recommend that others write to their technical support and ask for coverage. As silly as it might be, 247 coverage of a school creates an air of legitimacy in the eyes of recruits. And I think as a news/information service, they have an obligation to cover stories and teams evenly.

I really like our class. I don't know why but I just get the feeling that this is a class that's gonna do big things here at ACU. I can just picture Earle throwing up bombs to Blaylock and Lewis, long runs from Dobbins and sacks from Hart and picks from Moffett and Satterfield. It's a great day to be a wildcat!

I really like this class as well. It is a good blend of 9 high schoolers and 8 transfers. It addresses some huge needs, like defensive line, with 3 seasoned transfers and a HS kid to develop. It addresses obvious defensive backfield depth problems (losing all 4 starters) with 3 transfers, plus a high schooler to develop. Two transfers at LB, to fill the void left by Juice. I also love that we got a high schooler who is a return specialist -- we have overlooked finding a great return man for too long. I even like that the 3 offensive linemen are high schoolers -- developing OL depth from within, even though I fully expect to see a transfer/drop down on the OL as the year goes along.
Remember last year ACU signed 8 total in the early signing period and that only included 2 high schoolers and this year that is 17 total and 9 high schoolers. Most of the high schoolers in last year's class appeared in the February signing window -- that class had 11 announced signees, all high schoolers. It will also be interesting to see who might be announced early in the spring semester -- last year there were 4 dropdowns who were announced in late January. Could someone like Dax Neece end up in that next announcement this year? I also find it interesting that 2 walkon transfers who came to ACU at mid-term last year had an impact this season -- Tavian (TJ) Tumblesen (12 games/5 starts) and Justus Lee (11 games/8 starts). There was no announcement of their arrival and nothing about them until the spring game came around. I hope that ACU finds a few more "diamonds in the rough" like those two for this spring.

In past years, there has typically been a "signing day" event in the evening of signing day. Has anyone heard if ACU will have one again this year or has that event been axed?
