One thing to consider, many transfers will likely want to commit between now and June 1. They will want to be on campus when summer workouts begin.

I was really surprised to find out that Dax Neece wasn’t a scholarship player.

Staff is trying to add to the OL. Another offer out today to OG/C Seth Falley from Butler JUCO. He is listed at 6'4, 305
I firmly believe the staff is looking for 2 transfers to add to the current group

Haven’t had much success with JUCO OL coming in to immediate success. Seems like they typically become a project. If we go that route I hope we got guys ready to play quick.

Time to work with Airion Simmons on tight end routes and blocking. I already know he can catch it as well as anyone, no matter the traffic. I always thought Wilt Chamberlain would have been the best tight end ever to play the game. Some may remember Wilt could have been a fine decathlete.

He already looks more like a football player than basketball. He reminds me of Charles Barkley.

One thing to consider, many transfers will likely want to commit between now and June 1. They will want to be on campus when summer workouts begin. The NCAA moratorium on campus visits will continue until May 31, leaving players with online conversations as their primary way to make decisions at most schools. This makes me think that next year we'll see another open-transfer season in which players at all levels can switch schools for any reason. This will continue the squeeze on junior college players (and FCS transfers) who are trying to be noticed. But I would think our coaches really have some unique selling points: - The move to the WAC
- On our campus of more than 5,000 students/faculty/staff, we have only 1 active COVID case. This flies in the face of the national story about the contagious variants that are plaguing other parts of the country.
- Most all classes are in-person like they have been all year.
- Our award-winning faculty are building significant programs in engineering, nursing, and occupational therapy, etc.
- ACU offers students a fantastic, personal experience. If players are looking for a school to continue their academic journey, we have a lot to offer.

Scratch physical therapy. We don’t have a pt program. Maybe substitute accountancy? Otherwise some great points.

ACU does have a highly-regarded OT Master’s program. Due to clinical hours, it might be impossible for a student in the program to also be a scholarship athlete. I know that a graduate vaulter tried to do it and it proved impossible.
Speaking of outstanding programs, the Nursing major is now the largest major on campus and is highly competitive for admission. From what I have seen, ACU coaches are tending to steer athletes away from the major due to the extensive clinical hour requirement. The department has worked hard to accommodate athletes where possible, for instance working the 2 year program into a 2.5 year time frame. But, it is still one of the most difficult majors for D-1 athletes.

I was always impressed she was able to keep up with both the requirements of nursing school and BB. I turned into a ghost my last two years at Harding in Nursing School becasue the workload was so hard. ACU's Nursing program has really come into its own since leaving Patty Hanks. Grand Canyon was here the other week recruiting nursing students. I chuckled becasue of how many programs we have in town already. I almost stopped by the table to try and get some insder WAC commentary though...
