I was curious about FCS players in the new XFL. So far I have liked watching the games for the most part although I haven't been able to catch that many. All of this may be null and void if the XFL doesn't make it, but ratings so far haven't fallen off the cliff and most comments tend to be positive. Scheduling is one area that seems to be an issue. It does seem that the XFL actually has a decent amount of FCS players in it. The Southland only has two representatives so far: Justice Liggins from SFA and Jazz Ferguson from NSU. Still, if it survives and is somewhat successful, I can see FCS representation expanding and offering more opportunity for players not going to the NFL and not wanting to move up north. I haven't looked at salaries, but would love to see familiar faces do well.

Carl Whitley actually plays in the XFL but he's on the practice squad team. If it survives I could see it becoming a good landing spot for ACU guys that have talent but maybe aren't NFL quality. It wouldn't surprise me if we see one of the graduating seniors that're trying to make the NFL end up there like Chambers or Tracy.

Thanks, didn't realize that about Whitley. I agree with the potential. My thoughts on guys trying out for the NFL this year and don't make it is what they do while waiting on next year's XFL if they decide on that route? Although October wouldn't be that far away.
