FT's were big, but just listening (I was not watching) the game seemed to be called in a way that limited our defensive ability. Maybe a little homing going on. On the radio there was some comment about the past history with the referees. Is that right? Was there a history with them. The technical call sounded strange but I could not see it so I may be off base. The way we play defense in the modern game does not suit a lot of officials. Some call almost every possible charge a foul on the defense.

I guess ref decided it was taunting. I didn’t see what happened before that would have led to him doing that. It followed a huge dunk by Joe.

Multiple players on the roster clap after big plays on offense to fire each other up on defense, every game. It’s the ACU equivalent of the Duke floor slapping. Grant mentioned that the official that made the call has been a D2 referee, with calls like this he shouldn’t even be calling high school games.

The difference is that last night our player seemed to be following their player around, extending his arms, and clapping "at" him. Before he got T'd up, I commented that he better be careful and just then the ref called the technical. Having said that, it wasn't egregious, but there's no telling what, if anything, was being said in addition to the clapping.

Would that not be playing defense?

On to the next one.
