What a finish. That is the way to come back. As a Wildcat and a Longhorn, I follow both. The Horns were down five with very little time and some how pulled off a 72-70 win. Watch the last minute or so.

Watch the last minute or so. I’ve had other things going on today and missed it. Glad your “other” team won. We should probably start a thread on which teams we follow other than the Wildcats and why. I know the Tude follows OU, Bogey likes Coastal Carolina, and TF follows TT pretty closely, especially track. I’m a University of Georgia fan to the core. I don’t have a degree from there but they put food on my table for 30 years and are still paying me a pension. Who else?

Aggies have lost their voice but that is OK, I have friends who are Aggies and they are pretty normal people. And Oscar, my son-in-law is from Georgia!

I don't follow Harding at all really. That is my undergrad alma. My other grad school alma is Tulane SPHTM. I try to catch Green Wave football games when I can, but don't really keep up with them closely. ACU is not only my first grad degree, but my family has such a long history here. It's my primary focus. I follow other DI programs mainly to compare how ACU is doing and when I was voting on polls. Growing up in Arizona, I root for ASU when I can. I like the competitiveness of college sports in general and the diversity they bring.

UT, where I have a degree, I pull for 363 days a year, especially, against UT-norman. Hogs, where I don’t have a degree have pulled for since before the Big Shootout, 364. ACU, all day, every day!

It is a bit complex to explain, but cheering for the Wildcats comes first for sure. I guess it is because I was a Wildcat and played basketball for the Wildcats until blowing out my knee -- which was probably a good thing since I moved my time into the lab and that became my career. I owe my professional life to what started at ACU. Rooting for the Cats is a lot more important to me than the Horns. I actually helped as a tennis practice workout player for Texas but I don't follow their tennis program at all. I spent a lot of time playing with the UT golf team at the request of Harvey, who has long since passed. But I have no idea how they have performed in years. I think it may be a likely thing that one follows their undergraduate school far more intently than any graduate schools they may have attended. BUT, I still get jazzed up when UT plays Oklahoma -- who wouldn't? (Apologies to my Okie friends.)

rc, I also get jazzed about OU - UT. But from the other side.

rc, I also get jazzed about OU - UT. But from the other side. And that is partly why the game is fun... there are natural rivalries and those provide a lot of excitement. And I like the idea of people backing different teams then going out to dinner together after the game. I like Okies too and root for them when they are not playing Texas. Same for the Aggies.
