Sort of uncharacteristically weak on defense. The Islanders are jumping around the basket and getting shots we normally stop. Hopefully our shooting will improve in the second half. I guess we are a bit off due to the travel and waiting around, but this is a game we cannot let slip by. Time to blow them out in the second half. The Islanders are not a top half team in conference and you can see why, but we just have not gotten rolling yet. How we allow such an average team to shoot over 50 percent is puzzling.

The Cats do have 15 assists on their 20 made baskets at the 15:42 mark in the second half.

Is this a let down game even if we win? That's probably a harsh question and I know our guys are probably tired, but our defense this game has been lacking by allowing 50% plus inside and outside the arc.

Just need to pull out the win. 2nd game in three days after driving from Beaumont to Corpus. Got another game Wednesday and another Saturday. Just grind it out.

This is going to be a long week for sure. I'm just glad our guys don't have any quit yet.

A good win, but TAMCC was remarkable shooting FTs. We had too many good players and they did what was needed.

Definitely not our best game, but still a W. I have a bad feeling that free throw percentage is going to be haunting us down the road.

They had one guy that shot lights out. Our defense was good, evidenced by their 18 turnovers. I'd like for us to hit more of our foul shots but I think we will as the year wears on. Any win on the road is good, especially with such a quick turnaround. We need to play well vs. HBU and Corpus for the next 2 games. Then be ready for SFA and Sam Houston.
