Well, we are making them go through their dugout of pitchers as well. Still, we can't capitalize on it even though we got two runners on base. Continues 5-5 in the bottom of the 8th.

Building blocks. So many Fr and Soph's.Starting infield has Hammitt at 3rd, Randle at SS and Cromer at 2nd--all freshmen. First 2 pitchers tonight Huffling and Glaze are freshmen.

I don't think any of us can complain after tonight's showing. We go to the 9th tied and are playing a clean game. I do see a lot of potential here.

Sadly, our internet is still out and I didn’t get to see the game. Great news to wake up to! My wife’s Aggie and it was fun getting a little jab in. By the way, over our 20 years of marriage, she has fallen in love with ACU.

Some positives from last night: We are very young. I really liked the work of Huffling and then Tanner Riley. I loved what I saw of Riley last year. He works fast, throws strikes, is all business. Glaze has lots of potential too. I love guys who put the ball in play (over taking strike after strike). Hammitt, Randle, Geiser, Cruz, etc. all look like they can handle the bat. Even our grounding into 2 bases loaded double plays, the guys were up looking to hit. Didn't see much from Tatrow and Hill last night but I think they are players. Eager is a known entity. Hill looks like a quality lead off hitter. Our offensive weaknesses look like Dickson and Cromer but it is early. We got a lead, they tied, then went ahead and we immediately struck back. Looking forward to seeing our other pitchers in action and more games against good competition. Go Cats.

Definitely didn’t shy away from the spotlight with a bunch of young and new faces. Cool to see them bounce back after the one big inning the Ags has. Riley looked like a guy that wants the ball out there. Didn’t see the big man pitch early but numbers looked good. Randle has range and a cannon as mentioned. Was nervous with some of the catches in center field but otherwise we were clean defensively while I was watching.
Now let’s build this program back up with some consistency with the roster and get back to being a baseball school like we were 15 years ago.
