The dead period is officially over tomorrow. Coaches can go visit schools/players and recruits can go and visit schools in person.

I'll add that he has interest (no offers yet) from TCU and Texas Tech. My understanding is we are his first offer. Also could help that we signed his teammate Dillingham Legacy has to help, too. I mean 3 generations of connections to ACU football- his dad, grandad and great grandad. And all three were among ACU greats. His dad was an all-American His grandad coached a NAIA national championship team (11-1) His great grandad coached ACU’s only undefeated team (11-0) Trackfan is free to “fact-check” my statement, however, while a legacy, I believe Jay transferred to ACU after originally playing at UT.

ACU hosts the first of 3 Mega Camps this Friday. I will NOT keep a running list of who is in attendance as there will likely be hundreds of players on campus and not all of them are wanting looks from ACU. There will be others schools in attendance, so just because they tweet about the camp, it does not necessarily mean they are getting a serious look by our coaching staff. That being said, I would expect some offers to go out either that night or in the days that follow. Right now, the staff has only offered 8 players for the class of 2022. That is MUCH lower than last year, but there are reasons for that.
1. Recruits have not been allowed to meet with coaches until recently (June 1) 2. With every player getting an extra year of eligibility and the transfer portal in overdrive, the staff has had to focus a lot more on 2021 3. I also think the staff is being a lot more intentional this year in how they are recruiting. In the past, Coach Curlee has been the main recruiting coordinator for both high school players and transfers. Now, Curlee focuses on transfers, while Coach Williams and Coach Baccarini focus on high school recruits

I love seeing Nathan on campus. His Dad was an All-American at ACU AND his Grandfather and Great-Grandfather both played at ACC and were head coaches of the FB team. Pretty amazing legacy on The Hill.

Should be noted here that Dylan Frazier is the son of Justin Frazier (former ACU basketball player) and the great Jennifer Clarkson Frazier -- ACU Sport Hall of Fame and the Athletic Director for the McKinney ISD. Dylan is a legit prospect and has a legit interest in ACU -- he also plays tight end. I talked with Jennifer and she was watching along with 2 other ACU sports HoF members -- Deonna Shake and Carol Tabor. It was really cool to see them on campus (of course, Deonna still works at ACU, but the other 2 don't get to campus very often).
