It's not pretty but we are trying. How bad will these fouls hurt us in the last couple of minutes?

Coryon is a critical player at a time like this. Someone has to step up. What a great game, despite issues for both teams.

I'm not sure you get an ending that is both as much a nail biter and dramatic as this. We struggled early but fought through it, even with a bad turnover margin. We needed this mentally.

Great teams find a way to grind out wins. The hope for a #2 Seed is still very alive. I believe if we win our final game, and then SFA beats Sam Houston in their next game we get the #2 Seed.

I think we turn into SFA fans real quick right now.

We need Mason and Gayman to get well. Allen would help too but that's not going to happen. The guys toughed it out tonight. We fought back from down 15. Good teams do that. We need the confidence that we can win games like this. We need to be ready for UIW.

This game really helps toughen a team. We did not play our best but SFA was unbelievably strong on defense. But we never gave up. Kudos to the Cat's effort. Reggie did not protect the ball or pass it as well as most games but give SFA some credit, they played as hard as anyone we have played in conference. Not sure how we did it, but we did, and it was joyful. Kohl did not score much but in that last minute he turned out to be very important, despite missing two FTs. This game was won with our defense never giving up. SFA was held about 20 points below their average. And never forget, this game was on their home court.

Yep, we’re the biggest McNeese (vs Nicholls tomorrow) and SFA (vs Sam Saturday) as , with us beating UIW Saturday, Wildcats are the #1 seed! Go Cats!!

I think one of the biggest differences in the 2nd half is that Kohl toughened up and found his dominance. He didn't have to score high, but he made the rebounds and shots when it mattered and that was huge in putting us in the right position at the right time.

Just looked at the Southland standings and it appears to me that if Sam loses to SFA and we win our game then we get the #1 seed (like the previous post said). That would be huge.

Good game WACmates. It was ours to win, but y’all did what you had to do. Nice to have Kohl under the basket like that.
We’ll do our best to knock off Sam to get you a top seed. See you next year.
