ACU Bible verse this week - Psalm 75:10 - "I will cut off the horns of all the wicked, but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up." Gotta love that....

We might ask them about some old track meet results. Eddie Southern might remember Wildcats are tough competition.

They split with tech in the regular season Their website has the following: Jan. 13th: Loss 77-79 Feb. 27th: Loss 59-68 Mar. 11th: Win 67-66 Yeah that’s my mistake Anyway, doesn’t look like it’ll be an issue

More respect than their fan board so far. Personally, I still prefer that Texas look past us...

Washington Post gives us a 21% chance of an upset.

I just want our guys to know that it's possible and to fight like it!!! They need to protect the lanes and the perimeter. Either way, UT needs to walk away from this game with some respect.

When you think about it, UT has a whole lot more pressure than ACU. We have the opportunity to gain a lot win or lose, they don't. If I were UT, I would be talking up how tough the Cats are.

For the next six days, every time a radio or TV station in Texas mentions the Longhorns in the tourney, ACU gets a mention. That is huge. Already heard it half a dozen times.

It’s hard to imagine a better first round draw from a PR perspective. An upcoming game against Kansas or any of the other teams bracketologists were predicting for us wouldn’t have generated as much interest in our state.

Small steps or maybe big ones. This is why we went Div.1. Look at the the no. 1 team. It is from a smaller private Catholic university with an interesting name in the state of Washington.

Shaka Smart's initial media release sounds like familiar coach-speak. He'd like his team to "respect" ACU basketball. For the next two days, we'll likely have a few more sound bites from his staff about our defensive prowess that call to mind Chris Beard's championing our program in the days leading up to our game with Tech. Over at ESPN, they've released a deep dive into tournament statistics and facts. While 85% of 3 seeds win in the first round, most of the time, these aren't blowouts. By the way, ESPN has listed #13 Liberty as a 26% chance of a potential "giant-killer" upset over #4 Ok State. That result would really surprise me, but I haven't seen Liberty play. The Cowboys 6-8 PG Cade Cunningham will be playing pro ball soon enough.
