Also saw this: Largest disparity between athletic budgets among two first round opponents: Abilene Christian ($20 million) and Texas ($200 million) I posted on my Facebook page that UT needs to give us an 18 point head start. One point for each $10 million advantage they have. I'm sure the majority of that budget is from football but football probably also funds every other sport at UT.

A dream come true... Frankly I am already getting over hyped awaiting the game. It will be exciting, that is for sure. I can handle any outcome and knowing Joe's team they can too, but I think they will do an outstanding job of representing the university.

I too can accept a loss, granted it's a good loss (oxymoron?)...I know that Joe and the guys are going to put everything they have in to it. It's almost getting harder reading all the decent press we are getting and knowing that the game is still several days away. I"m ready for the game to be played.

Great article and truly heartwarming. One of my fears for student athletes at ACU has always been how they would embrace the unique qualities and demands that are placed on them that go beyond what other schools expect. It is a high demand, but to see a student who seemingly thought a lot of the promises about the culture and the school would be all talk be so proud and welcomed at ACU is a wonderful sign. I think that speaks to his character and the coaching staffs ability to recruit quality players with on and off the court qualities you would hope to see.

What Reggie says about the culture, city, and people here is encouraging. I think we've found a new ambassador for basketball recruiting.

Reggie sure sounds like a quality person and a great representative of our university. He is indeed the definition of a student athlete and ambassador for the culture of the team. I wonder what he is studying and what he might like to do in life. With his approach to things, my bet is he will be successful. You can sure tell he is a leader for the Cats.

His ACU basketball page says he is majoring in liberal arts and wants to be a coach. He'll be a good one. I like that he always seems to be calm and under control. Even when he gets a questionable foul called on him he doesn't react much.
