Why in the world did we start this kid? I was trying to go back through the Sam game stats, but got busy again.

Can we get a redo on the 1st inning? On our pitching AND hitting..........

Do we need to switch pitchers in the 1st? Don’t have the luxury of making a switch as early as you would normally in a regular season game. Must conserve innings and pitchers. Gotta hit today. Aint pitching or hitting so far.

We also don't have the luxury of keeping a pitcher in the game that gets hammered....

Sam has a left-handed loaded batting order and our pitcher throws easy to see to Lefties. You can see his off speed delivery. We need a different option at this point. Maybe we figure this will be a loss and we are just saving pitchers. My guess is we get hammered. Time to bring in a non-pitcher and not waste a good arm.

So all of our key pitchers are injured? Maybe my question didn't get answered like I thought. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

We also don't have the luxury of keeping a pitcher in the game that gets hammered.... Actually we do. I wish we didn’t have to use that luxury. But we will live to see another day. It’s all about conserving pitching from here on out. I wish it wasn’t the case but like a good manager once said, “That’s how baseball go”.

Even if it isn't, I am not sure we are playing good enough to finish this guantlet right now.

Who tells me that we come back from a 10-0 deficit?

I'm not saying we can but I believe SELA came back from a 9 run deficit to beat UNO today. So anything is possible 😉.

Who tells me that we come back from a 10-0 deficit? I think anything can happen. Especially in tournament play.

The puzzle is why we let the first inning slip away. In a key tournament, you have to avoid getting hopelessly behind and then having to sacrifice pitchers. I thought it was time to hit the panic switch after three hitters. Now we need to do like a chess match and topple our king and not get deflated.
