Wonder how much that had to do with stone only being a year older than him and stone now being gone.

It appears, that QB Hayden Anderson has withdrawn from the portal Good news -- looks like some work is being done in trying to retain some of those who have entered the portal.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but these numbers are staggering- If I am not mistaken, there are 130 FBS programs, so each and ever FBS team would have to take almost 5 transfer guys just to eat up the backlog of FBS guys entering the portal. That is in addition to the almost 2 guys they have already taken. I guess this does not even include the FCS guys who entered the portal. As we know several of our guys got FBS offers so I assume other more successful FCS programs lost guys to FBS schools as well.
It will be interesting to see how many of these guys get left playing musical chairs and don't have a spot when the music stops. Frankly, that is maybe what we need so that athletes don't see the portal as a panacea that automatically leads to a starting role at a new bigger school. Maybe they will see the portal for what it is, a crap shoot that sometimes comes up 7.

Did Jack Gibbens play last night in the bowl game? I wasn't able to watch but looked at the Minnesota web site this morning and did not see him listed as having any tackles.

Maybe they will see the portal for what it is, a crap shoot that sometimes comes up 7. FBS programs are limited to 25 scholarships per year. For this year only, unless the NCAA extends the rules, teams may replace up to seven players lost through the portal, so the maximum number of scholarships is 32. A team can only pick up as many players through the portal as they lose. Any extra players picked up through the portal will count against the 25 player limit. Many players in the portal will not get picked up.

Chris Satterfield commits to grambling st as a transfer

Grambling operates on a budget of around $10 million -- roughly half of ACU's budget. Best wishes to Chris at Grambling, but he will get to see what it looks like to operate on a less-than-shoestring budget.
