Yep, nobody complained about Baylor’s BB title, or Miss St.’s CWS victory! It’s time four super conferences to produce champions that automatically qualify for the Final Four. Everybody else, including ACU, plays non-conference “$-ball” and FCS title. In baseball and basketball, the top 64 and 68 teams respectively get to compete for the championship. Top 10 teams are never excluded from the playoffs like they are in football. They just need to expand the football playoffs to a minimum of eight teams, but preferably more. Agreed. As I’m sure you’ve probably heard elsewhere, FBS is the ONLY NCAA sport that does NOT have a playoff. However, I doubt we’ll EVER have an FBS playoff unless and until TV $ says so. Just my opinion.

Don’t forget, the bowls still have a lot to say about the size of the Playoffs thanks to the large amounts of cash that they infuse into the system.

One less unbeaten team. Wake Forest loses to North Carolina 58-55. They are out of the playoff hunt.

Does that move them ahead of Cincinnati? No but beating Tulsa by 8 while getting outgained 457 to 390 and out first downed by 26-17 is not going to help Cincy's case with the playoff committee. Michigan St also losing wil help them, however.

Georgia, Cincinatti and Oklahoma are the undefeated teams that have a shot at the playoffs (UTSA is getting no respect). I think that any of these three that stay undefeated will end up in the playoffs. Alabama looks like they will probably lose to Georgia and miss out. Obviously, only one of Ohio St, Michigan and Michigan St will make it in, so Cincinatti and Oklahoma are competing with four other teams for the top four.
In all probability any of the top 8 that win out will likely make the playoffs. If most of these eight teams loss another game, the door opens for Notre Dame and Oklahoma St.

I think any of the top 7 that wins out will make the playoffs.
Cincinatti will need either Alabama or Oregon to lose assuming one of the Big 10 teams wins out, but it is very likely that either Alabama or Oregon will lose another game.

UTSA was losing most of the game but scored a TD in the last minute to beat UAB, 34-31. They are one of 3 undefeated teams.
