Dobbins has been hurt all year. Pulled a hamstring in fall practice and lost his "burst". I'm still wondering who was wearing #21 (Dobbins number) on defense. That player was in on several plays despite what the stats say.

I heard the announcer call his name.

I enjoyed the comment by the announcers after one running attempt went for no gain (I believe it was a Mansell QB draw); "it was as if they knew what was coming." We are so predictable on offense. That said, the offense did not lose this game--the defense did. Giving up 270+ yards running mostly over our right side with the same play over and over and -0- or few adjustments was just incredible. Those are some big young men on JSU’’s O-line. It looked as if ACU was giving up 50lbs across the line. We were getting bulldozed. I’m tired of complaining and pointing out the obvious. This coaching staff has not recruited well or prepared their teams to play sound football. Good coaches put players in matchups and positions that make them successful. This scheme and play calling is awful. I just shake my head. For instance…we have a chance to cut into the lead after the tipped ball pick 6. ACU’s second procession we drive the ball to the JSU 33 AND we go for it on 4th down we turn the ball over at the JSU 31. Is there a problem that prevents our kicker from attempting a downwind field goal? Does Dorrel not have confidence in field goal team. Not making the 4th down was a gut punch to the team….JSU went straight down the field and scored to make it 14 - 0. Talk about a momentum changer. I was proud the boys kept fighting to close the first half. We just continue to make to many mistakes…. ACU needs keep their hand on their wallet…because Dorrel the winningest coach in D2 history is steeling ACU blind. Maybe we should be content of being the Vanderbilt of the WAC.

So disappointing... the play mentioned above, fourth and three. Even the announcer said don't run for it up the middle. I thought to myself, oh no, they will fake a handoff and our little quarterback will try to run up the middle against their larger defensive line. Sure enough, Mansell fakes a handoff and runs right into a stop on the right side of the line. We turn it over and the game takes on a familiar feel of "We are going to be predictable and bull-dozed." It did not take long to see the handwriting on the wall. I was amazed we scored as much as we did but it sure was disappointing to know our game plan was not going to be up to the task of victory -- I got that feeling on the second possession when we turned the ball over in such a blah way. It was fun to see the pass near the end of the game. It was a nice 85 yard TD pass and run with a great stiff arm.

I see Jermiah Dobbins is now playing defense. At least #21 just made a tackle. That was Tory Hargrove wearing 21 today, as we noted on the radio broadcast. No reason given for the number change. Quent Titre wore 98.

It’s time to bring in someone like John David Baker or another well established FCS coach who can recruit in Texas and bring the Air Raid back

I have never been more dissatisfied and disappointed when being a part of this team. After yet another loss at JSU in Alabama, my career record since coming here is at 10 wins and 16 losses. I came from a championship caliber program in high school and junior college before I came to ACU. It was my impression Coach Dorrel would lead ACU to at least a playoff appearance or a conference championship when I decided to commit here. His past is without question impressive with all the championships he won at the division 2 level. In his 5 years here at ACU there will be no results to show. 0 playoff appearances and 0 conference championships. I have noticed some of you argued that talent and recruiting is an issue. In my opinion that’s a bunch of B.S. the three years I have been here, the talent has been off the charts. There is so much explosiveness, athleticism and depth at each position since I’ve been here. My saying is the only way this talented team will win is in spite of the coaching staff. The play calling is aweful, the decision making in crucial situations by the staff is a disaster, the defensive scheme is horrendous. I have never been so frustrated being apart of this. I think Dorrel is a great guy and so are much of the staff, but many times they have no idea what they are doing, how to adjust and how to put players in the best situations to win. Coach Dorrel is a great man but he is not the right coach for ACU football. I think you have perfectly summed up the feelings of most on this board.

Not sure players posting here will go over too well. I didn’t thing he was a current player with the “alum” being part of his handle, but I certainly could be wrong. There seems to be verbiage that could go either way.

I have been a Ryan Stapp fan since he stepped on the field 3 years ago.My appreciation for his game grows each week. Glad the Jacksonville announcers saw what we've been blessed to see for several years.
