I’ll be curious to hear Banks story. He doesn’t have much for highlight film, guess he was injured, and then we hired his former head coach to our staff.

Correct Wildcatter- Only played in 2 games this year due to injury, so not a lot of tape on him

A little bit about Grayson. He is a CB from Beggs, Okla, listed at 6'2, 160. Has offers from Northeastern St, Friends University and Bethel College. Has interest from Tulsa and just had an in-home visit with Kansas St. Had 8 interceptions and 14 pass breakups this year Here is his Hudl tape: www.hudl.com/v/2Gm7rePlays like a WR on defense; first interception was crazy good; has elite speed and great break on the ball skills

Two things that stand out to me about the way this staff is recruiting 1. The entire defensive staff was at Reese Young's home last night, Coach Patterson, Cassity, Dubin, Carter and Wilson 2. A lot of staff's offer a lot of players. Some they have sincere interest in, but others, they don't. They see a rival school has offered them, so they do too. Doesn't appear that is the case at ACU

Trent Pullen (6'3", 290 OL) would be a big "get" for the Cats. Rated as the #2 recruit at Oklahoma State in 2020. Transferred to Blinn where he was all conference last fall. Teammate of Kaghen Roach whom we've also offered.

This will be interesting, I don't recall knowing that we had any Muslim player before, but he sure does thank Allah in his post. I am certainly open to it and think that ACU as a school and a team should be open minded to its students, be it Protestant, Catholic, Agnostic, Muslim, White, Black or Brown. I do wonder if the athlete knows just how Christian focused ACU is as opposed to other schools that have a Christian Heritage/history but may not practice it today.
Unless things have changed, the 15 credit hours of bible classes and daily chapel might be an interesting experience for a Muslim student. I know I did not get to ACU with a Christian background and I was absolutely surprised by my first year at ACU. The coaches may not have given me a ton of details about daily chapel and curfew at Maybee:) It worked out tremendously for me personally and my faith journey, but I hope the recruit knows exactly what they are stepping into.

We did have a Muslim basketball player one year a while ago. I forget his name but was a transfer from an Arizona school, if I remember correctly. He was as Zach Carlisle would say "an all-world player" who lead us in scoring and rebounding that year. He left school at the end of that semester and as I recall had many negative comments to make about the "Christian" experience. So, you are right, this may be a very interesting recruit. No reason it shouldn't work out and I'm pretty sure the coaches were thorough in their recruitment about the school and its requirements. This doesn't seem to be a staff that leaves any stone unturned.

He has updated his Tweet. Someone may have let him know how unusual his first post was.

That is very interesting. Wonder if he was using Allah in its literal meaning for God. Either way, I hope he comes and wrecks shop for the Cats.
