We have come a long way since that season opening loss to Utah. Go Wildcats.

The difference from normal officiating tonight was when we would often tie them up, we were called for a foul. That has not been the normal case so I think we really won by 15 to 20 points had the homie officials not put a little roadie in our way. Notice how they would crowd and push us around yet were not often called for the foul until the outcome of the game was decided, and the foul was completely obvious.

The refs let the players play. I like that. Not a continuous parade to the foul line.

Today's win puts us at #123 in Kenpom, just 3 spots behind GCU for 2nd in the conference.
Prior to this game, Kenpom predicted a 67-64 UVU win. Coming into today, this was a Tier B game for us.

Steals 12-3. If it wasn't for Nield having an unbelievable night (10-12 for 27 pts plus a 3 quarter length shot to end the half) this would have been a dominating win. We hassled them all night long. On to St George and Dixie State. You are absolutely right. Nield was keeping them in the game, making shot after shot. If the Cats offense continues to improve (good ball movement, Steele able to generate a little on the low block, and confident perimeter shooting), we are going to give quite a few teams problems.

This was a huge road crossover win. I’m not sure I would have penciled in this game as a win before the season. They shot a dazzling percentage but thanks to TOs and ORBs we actually shot the ball 13 more times than they did. All this against a team that beat BYU and PAC10 Washington.

Today’s win boosted our NET ranking from 83 all the way up to 65! That puts us in 1st in the conference. NMST and GCU are behind us at 80 and 81 respectively. Utah Valley sits in 4th having dropped from 77 to 88
