Game time is Thursday (Jan. 6) at 7 P.M. This looks like a great matchup. Go Cats!

SFA is looking for a key win. ACU is looking to stay undefeated in WAC play. I expect this to be battle.

This game should be an entertaining matchup between old Southland opponents. Both teams know each other quite well.
The Jacks' regular rotation features five players averaging greater than 40% from the 3-point line, but they also have two others (#3 Sadaidriene Hall and #14 Gavin Kensmil), who have split close to 600 minutes this season, and together they have attempted zero threes. This speaks to what I would call SFA’s blue-collar style in which players know their roles and fulfill them with excellence. Hall, a 6-5 freshman, and Kensmil, the 6-7 senior, are elite rebounders that the Cats will have to account for on every possession. The reserve 6-9 sophomore, Nana Antwi-Boasiako, is another force on the defensive glass.
Point guard David Kachelries (6’1 170) has seen the ACU scheme numerous times and is always a threat with the ball. He’ll look to get everyone involved, especially their leading scorer Kensmil (16.2 ppg). But the Jacks often put the ball back in Kachelries's hands after the defense collapses. The analytic stats show that over 30 percent of his made baskets are the result of someone else getting an assist. That’s a lot of catch-and-shoot opportunities.
Vegas seems to favor the Cats in this one, and ACU will need a great effort to secure the win. The last time SFA took the court on December 18th, they played Kansas to a standstill in Lawrence (population 94,934). I do wonder if that long layoff will have any impact on the outcome.

Women's is ppd. Is the men's also? I saw this as a headline on my ESPN feed, but I see no confirmation. I hope they have it mixed up with the women's game. The SFA twitter shows a pic of David K from SFA at Teague. [EDIT] glad to have confirmation that this is a network era by ESPN.

Hopefully, we’ll get a game in tonight. Looks like the matinee feature is wrestling.

Not looking good for the good guys. They've got us rattled. I'm getting tired of throw up shots going down against us.

There are a lot of opportunities on the break and at the rim. They are daring the Cats to make contested twos.

SFA just outplaying us right now. They rested and prepared and came in with a chip on their shoulder...
