Maybe ACU will start playing like DI team again soon. Lighten up, Randy. We are trying to be a bit less sarcastic. You watched the game. We played a better team tonight. Unfortunately, what we see is what we get this year. Beating a limping mule won’t make him go faster. Yep Cap, the mule is limping, which is why I said what I said. There is no sarcasm, or beating going on, really. I watched the game and we are playing worse than earlier, even when we were playing equally good teams earlier. You should be proud of me. I didn't actually go to the game.

Does anyone else think that our broadcast announcers are absolutely terrible. They just talk and ta Respectfully, I disagree with you 100%. In fact our broadcast team is one of the better in Mid-Major basketball IMO. listening to other teams in our conference broadcast games is tough, especially GCU, that was really hard listening to with their broadcasters yelling into their microphones anytime GCU did anything. Zach is very neutral in his game commentary and doesn’t try to be the homer broadcaster like so many others are and I do appreciate it.

I think it’s a matter of us using students or inexperienced commentators more than anything. I agree that we at least maintain a somewhat neutral perspective on the game, which should be appreciated more from the visiting fan base.

I wish we did a far better job of describing ACU during the pieces that are about us as hosts. I am tired of seeing the same ACUTV messages over and over. There is so much more to ACU. We hear about the students doing ACUTV, then return to the game and see inconsistent camera work and almost no promotional videos about the university and its accomplishments. I watch other WAC school broadcasts and would adjudge us to be toward the bottom of presentation of the whole package of the game experience and university. The play by play is usually good and less "homer" than some in the WAC.

Agree that our announcers are above average compared to other schools but our commercial variety leaves a lot to be desired. Either ACUTV or ACU Online. Really nothing about on campus. Have we given up on recruiting to Abilene and are going to put all of our emphasis to online? I realize the profit is much greater online but that is not the "real" ACU to me.

The commercials are rough. What about our businesses that already advertise with ACU? Could we not see about using their commercials just to add variety at this point?

I must not be listening to the same broadcast as some other people. I thought a play-by-play announcer told things like who has the ball, who is guarding them, who gets a rebound, etc. In my opinion our guys just talk and talk about all kinds of stuff way too much of the time about everything else except what is going on with the game. Just listen to Mark F. do a Maverick game. Totally different and, in my opinion much, much better. Also, they seem all excited about the visiting teams accomplishments. And, when something special happens, an alley-oop, a dunk, etc. they respond so excitedly that you would think that has never happened before. Also, to do a giddy happy interview with a player from the opposing team that has just beaten us at home, to me, is way beyond the pale. They don't have to be total homers but, after all, they are the ACU broadcasters. Again, listen to the broadcasters for any college team or pro team.
I have reached the point that I just turnoff the sound and watch the game. Anyone is free to disagree with me but, I would encourage anyone who does to go listen to a replay of one of the games. I think that you might see what I am saying.
