I've also spent the morning looking up stories and press releases on Herschel Sims. If he's really turned his life around (article quoted Collums as saying he has) and really gets on the field for us, then we have a great, great running back for next year. Running behind some of these young pups may pose some "challenges" but before long I think they'll all be humming. Someone has said we can't keep 6 QB's on the roster so it will be fun watching who emerges. We've got several with "unlimited" potential and in Collums offensive scheme I think they can really shine. When we enter Southland play (for all the marbles) we are going to be formittable (sp.). And I haven't even addressed the defensive side of the ball. With your insights to what goes on there...Lets play some football.

Best "Christmas" I've had in a long time. I love the new guys that weren't on our radar. Thigpen and Flowers look to be the real deal (especially Flowers) and with Tolbert (great bloodlines) and the Ngungutau bros. and Mack (plays defense but with that speed and small frame could be a receiver). Don't know anything about Davis but with the quality of the rest, he's probably a great find. Yes, yes. A great "Christmas" morning. I'd venture to say our coaches hit a "hole-in-one" with this class. #PurpleREIGN sorry, Prince

After winning a game Erk used to say, "Well boys, it's time to light up a ceegar." I'd light up a ceegar right now. If I had one. And if I liked ceegars. He also liked to butt heads with his players during games to motivate em. Maybe you could talk to coach Rowe about using this motivational technique

Any word on Meadows? Do we have a problem? Did SMU steal him back?

I hope the Mustang sign in the background is his high school mascot and not SMU.

The place card in front of him says ACU. And SMU is purple.

Wow, what a haul. Now I see why we took offers off the table to several (Hooks-Holmes, Monroe, maybe more). A great recruiting class. Kudos to Coach Collums and staff for a job well done. Add this class to the one last year and you can see the progress we've made because we've gone to D1. Really top-"heavy" with big guys this and last year but maybe in subsequent years the classes will show more balance. Can't wait to hear what the staff has to say about this years recruits tonight.
