It is time. We play the west's number one seed. Win this one and it would be outstanding. Just an added note, I noticed our team batting average of .295 for the season. That is a remarkably high team average.

A win against GCU could cover a multitude of disappointments this season.

I think this team, as Jekyll and Hyde as it is, is capable of beating any other team in the tournament. A sustained run … probably not.

Waiting at hospice for 27 hrs now. In this situation it is hard to get your hopes up. I so wanted this team to be successful but I've lost almost all hope in them. There's still a sliver but our bats have to come alive..I remain a loyal fan. A tourney run would bring me some distraction and maybe a little joy. Go get 'em Cats.

Bogeyman, all of our best thoughts and prayers. Hang in there. Baseball is, of course, very secondary, but maybe a little distraction will bring some level of peace. All our best for Jana, and you.

Good start, but starting well is not our downfall.

Definition of insanity--doing the same things over and over, expecting a different outcome. Sometimes things to change are out of your control but we've continued the same patterns. Same starting rotation, same batting order, same relief rotation, swing for the fence in every situation, don't move base runners up with bunts or by shortening swing and hitting behind the runner, leaving pitchers in until they've dug a hole so deep we can't get out, etc. Our hitters take called strike 3 an abnormally high percentage because we have to have a really good pitch to drive when if we were protecting the plate we'd swing at close and/or questionable strikes to keep the AB alive. Same ole, same ole.I love it when we are bashing the ball. I'd love it more if we'd win. This team has given me lots of thrills. A couple of changes here or there and it could be really good. The opinions expressed here are solely those of this fan.

Bogey, Your insights are sport on. I had high hopes with the 2 runs in and then the bases loaded... but it was right back to the same old patterns. We have some fine baseball players but we are missing that special ingredient of refusing to lose because we will do whatever we must to match the needs of the moment.

Sometimes, you need to give the other team some credit too. That is a really good GCU team, the favorite to win the championship. They made the pitches, had some timely hits and beat us.
Every coach after a loss plays the, what if I had done this or that cards. But sometimes you tip your cap and move on to fight another day

Grrrrr. Too many left on base. Could easily be 5-0.
