Can someone also remind me (or share for the first time) what is bothering Anthony smith?

The camera work has not been good this game at all. Camera work will improve I feel. I'm thinking that most of those that operate the cameras are probably mostly inexperienced. This is a student operated TV station of students trying to learn. For that reason I expect there to be a lot of foul ups. Even still I agree with you.

I was happy with the game but my biggest concern was the 7 sacks that we allowed. We have to improve protecting our QBs, but the QBs have to be able to get rid of the ball.

Right now, imo, it’s not a good reflection of ACU or ACUTV, student run or not. Sorry if that’s harsh but we need to raise the level of the production as we have in all areas of our programs at ACU. Btw, ACU SPORTS radio is now streaming and is very easy to sync up with the broadcast.

Key to the camera work is the producer/director. I wish it was better but few if any other student groups get this valuable experience. So mixed feelings.
By the way, the crowd was good and the game experience was superior this week.

The student section wasn't bad and it seemed more students stayed longer. Just less visitors with WNMU being so far.

Thoughts on last night. First of all, congrats! A win is a win. We found our way to settle in after a bad start and didn't look back. Still, you look at the yardage and TOP stats and our score should have been higher. The reason it wasn't was because we simply stalled out on several drives. We also reverted back to 5 penalties for 52 yards. Our rushing yardage was very good, but we also didn't get consistent blocking from our OL, as well as had missed blocks. At one point we had two offensive linemen double teaming one person while our RB was already tackled on the ground behind them because the defender went right past the lineman who didn't block him. Our sack status showed that we struggled with their blitzes all night, while we only got to their QB once. Our passing stats were pretty good, but we also had several bad throws and dropped passes. I thought by now all of our FBS transfers would be doing better. Again, good win, but the games are going to be a tough battle week in and week out for the rest of the season. Our defense continues to play lights out. Our DBs were still beat several times, their receivers were either just over-thrown or missed the catch. I hope our offense can begin to catch up. I am with KP and don't know why we can't seem to come out firing. Maybe we will begin to. Finally, when did we stop protecting the ball? Continue the day by day and game by game mentality guys. We have a long way to go. We are still 3-1 and 3-0 at home. Keep it up.

IMO. Best game experience yet by far. Only a few times did the "noise" compete with the PAA. Congrats to whoever brought the changes. More students came and stayed longer probably because they knew that the awards for freshman follies were going to be announced in the second half. Still was good to see a bigger student section and them staying longer. Tailgate gets better every game. Anthony Smith broke his ankle in the first game. He's expected to be back. Both Dobbins and Banks ran really well and really hard. I tease them both that they had lousy coaching in high school because the were not taught to go down when they are hit. Both tough kids and runners and nice guys. I am pretty sure that Long went in for McIvor due to performance, both decision making and execution. Will be interesting to see who starts next game. Reese Young is a player. Great throw and catch for Kobe's TD.

Kobe Clark now has 223 career receptions. He only needs to average 2 receptions per game for the next 7 games to break the career reception record held by Jerale Badon (the Wildcats' Running Backs Coach) with 235 career receptions.

The attendance for Saturday's game was 7703, the best crowd of the season so far but we had 3 home games last year with attendance above 8000 and 1 game with over 10,000 fans.

My observations from the game.
1. coaching staff is big time D1 caliber 2. Defense is top notch… big, fast, smart, etc. 3 Offense has tons of talent but isn’t firing on all cylinders. They will be very good by the end of the year. New OC and new offensive scheme with a lot of new faces, it’s expected to take some time to mesh. 4. The entire team was very calm, horrible start to the game and we showed a lot of maturity and weren’t phased. ( next man up mentality) 5. The atmosphere was great. South end zone was full of students and tailgating. Home side was packed and most stayed the entire game. We need the students to leave the tailgate area once the game starts to fill the student section. It felt like a real division 1 atmosphere. Loud music, active dance team, great cheerleaders, band was loud and into the game, activities during time outs, face painting for kids. ..etc. 6. Special teams were good
I don’t think we have scratched the surface of how good this team could be. This team has yet to play a great game in all three phases but we know how to win. The sky is the limit and I honestly believe we can win the WAC and who knows what happens after that?? It’s a great time to be an ACU fan and kudos to whomever is in charge of the game day experience. It’s not perfect but it’s improved a ton!
Also, we have a ton of just really good student athletes. I have met a few of the players and they are great young men! At the end of the days isn’t that why it’s all about?
Go Wildcats!
