Watching this game on Pan American youtube. Great picture so far in bottom of 7 there has been only one break to buffer. We are behind 3-1 and doesn't look like we have the hitters to mount much of a challenge. Whoever said earlier that we are small said a mouthful. We've made 2 base running blunders that most little league teams wouldn't which is troubling. A fly ball to medium right field was dropped but our baserunning wasn't watching and was thrown out at 2nd costing us a rally. Later on a wild pitch our baserunner just trotted to 2nd, didn't slide and should have been out (Pan American players thought so). We are tending to swing at bad pitches and take good ones, especially on the 3rd strike. Pretty weak so far---but it's early in the season.

Into the 9th with Cats still trailing 3-1. Highlights so far are Thomas Altimont struck out the side in his 1st inning of relief. Shows some velocity but was wild. Nick Palacios also struck out the side in his one inning of relief. He threw strikes instead of nibbling. I like that all 3 Cat pitchers work quickly. Lead off double in 9th. Maybe a start.

UTPA wins 3-1. Copeland doubled to start the 9th but then 3 straight KO's without even a whiff of getting the bat on the ball.

Mens baseball lost its 6th straight to UTPA, 4-3. May have been the 1st time this year we've had a lead, 3-1 in 7th, but we lost that quickly. Well, at least we come back home to try for that elusive 1st win--vs. Texas Tech. Yippee!!!
