Anyway, what good is sarcasm if you have to notify folks of its presense. So let me help: "all our players are scholars"-reality is that recently several posters have talked of players not being students for the past month and not doing classroom work on top of a lively discussion over 4 years ago about raising the bar academically for our student athletes. Won't have to recruit "the academically challenged" in order to compete. D1 standards are higher!! And 2nd sarcastic remark:"all our players are self-starters" after numerous posts about lazy players not getting to practice on time and not giving effort when at practice. 3rd evidence of sarcasm was the question at the end of the sentence, "Right?"/s

Royce Moore-You've got your winner. Now let's pull together to support "the process" of bringing that winning culture to ACU. We have a great foundation, a coach who is a proven winner with a plan. I love that he said he would start by contacting coaches with ACU ties to begin the recruiting process. It takes a community.

Interesting tidbit shared in the press conference yesterday - that ACU has 12.25 scholarships to give this coming year. According to Lee DeLeon when he was speaking to a group of boosters earlier this year, ACU will be adding 2.5 scholarships in 2017 to bring football up to the full FCS allotment of 63. The following 9 players finished their eligibility this past year: Parker McKenzie, Adrian Duncan, Vasquez Haynes, Austin Kilcullen, Hayden Brodowsky, Josh Bloom, Keith Barnett, Quenton Baker and DJ Arnold. At least 2 athletes quit during this past season - Jabari Butler and Carlton LaFrance. I could see these players representing 9.75 scholarships, since some of them were certainly not full scholarship kids.
It will be very interesting to see the spring roster in 2017, since I fully expect to see some of the kids who could return not do so - some due to grades and some due to defection. How many scholarships that may represent is anyone's guess. If anyone does not return for the spring semester, I imagine the coaches will try to fill that void by the coming signing date of February. That signing window for football stays open until April 1 and I expect the new coaching staff will be looking to sign people right up to the last day of the signing window.

Do we know for sure that Bourque is coming back? Don't know why he wouldn't. I don't know for sure but it's not like he had a deep connection with Collums. And nobody's reported anything about a new S&C coach.

Since Sunday morning's tweet about Dorrel being named the head coach, over 60 high school football players have started following him; most of which are unsigned seniors. Great problem to have.

Honestly, added them up I didn't know if there was some super secret way that other people could tell that recruits had started following coaches and vice versa.
