I think that will certainly be the case, Oscar. I know of one ACU OL that was 2-time All-State in 6A Texas High School football and was told over and over by FBS schools that at 6'4" he was not tall enough to play OL for them and received no FBS offers. So, he came to ACU and became a starter in his 2nd game as a true freshman and was All-Conference as a sophomore. I think we will see this more and more, which will benefit ACU and other FCS schools. When you look at the NFL starting lineups, you see more guys under 6'5" than you do in most P5 starting lineups. These schools will recruit a "project" who is 6'6" over a proven kid who is 6'4". This seems to also hold true on the defensive side of the ball. I look at someone like All-American PJ Hall at Sam Houston, who has been completely dominant, but because he is 6'1", was overlooked by FBS schools as a Defensive End.

Alot of the O-Line projects have more to do with frame than height. However height does allow for more weight. Hence the reference above. From personal experience................. a 6'1" kid can rarely carry 300 effectively. There are exceptions of course. Frame wise a broad shoulders, big butt, big thick legs and arms can change the 6' 3" 280 kid into a 310 kid. Fact is 350 does you no good unless you have strength and can move at that weight.
