Any movement on the OT from SMU? Have summer classes started? Or has he signed with someone else? Saw that Joe Pleasant is working out with other elite athletes in a tweet from All In Sports.

I think that Inness is coming primarily as a long snapper. There will be more competition at that position this fall. That's my understanding as well.

I'm just looking at our lists of new players including those committed and walk-ons listed on our front page and then the additions that have been noted on our message board. Here are the numbers I come up with:
walk-ons not listed as commits--8 commits not listed as walk-ons--28 added as commits/walk-ons not on the other 2 lists--15
That is 51 new players that we know about and the breakdown of positions is as follows (some are listed at two positions, I've just put them at one):
2 deep snappers (Stone, Inness) 4 QB--(Stripling, Ousley, Sparks, Somers) 2 RB--(*Anderson, Tumbleson) 8 WR--(Arp, Rhea, Beavers, *McConnell, *Lee, *D.Davis, *Clarke, Is.Davis) 4 TE--(*Bergdoll, *Hohenstein, Smith, Sonnier) 8 OL--(Babbs, Skelton, *Branner, *Parker, *Terry, Anthony, Tate, *Russolillo) 9 DL--(*Gayden, *Ihegworo, *Jones, Gibbens, Obadeyi, Thielen, Underwood, Davis, Morgan) 6 LB--(Downing, McCalley, *Kier, Neal, Minor, Dawson) 2 CB--(Duah, Stapp) 5 S--(Gonzales, *Goffney, Taylor, Graham, Campbell) 1 Kicker--(Mullins)
Add any to the list I've missed and if any these commitments have decommitted take them off. Thanks to Mavsman and 1997 for keeping us updated.
* indicates players who may help us this fall. From comments from coaches before and after spring ball. We still may add a player or two. Some on this message board have referenced that Levon Livingston OT (6'7", 300 lbs.) a transfer from SMU is coming but not confirmed. Looks like an awfully good recruiting year to me.

Sounds like we signed up the tall WR from Rice as a transfer. Was told it’s a done deal

Any word on Livingston? I’m thinking about ‘Tude’s comment earlier that elite teams have elite O Lines and Dorrel thinks we aren’t quite there yet.

Mark Anthony tweeted that it’s a done deal. Reasonably credible source, I think.
edit1. His exact words were ”it’s happening”
edit2. Unlikely ACU will announce any more transfers before camp. Neither of these two guys are very active on Twitter, either.

I'll post this again...verified.
Brendan Harmon 6'5" 205 WR from Rice is transferring to ACU this fall. He has 3 years of eligibility left.
Levon Livingston is NOT transferring to ACU from SMU. Too many red flags, apparently. Unfortunately, we probably can expect to see him in the SLC this year.

I see on twitter that Harper Smith, the kicker from Aledo HS, just "signed" with ACU. In 16 games with Aledo in 2018, he had 23 touchback kickoffs. He was 8 out of 9 with FG's, with the longest one being 32 yards. He was 84 out of 93 on PAT's - a hair over 90%. He ended up scoring 6.8 points per game, but that was largely due to Aledo's ability to score a LOT of points every game. He will help add depth in the kicking game.

As I mentioned to CatMasters05 I'm disappointed we missed out on Aledo OL Chandler Knandel (6'5", ~300 lbs) who will play for our SLC mates in Central Arkansas.

JUCO CB Braelon Hill just committed! It appears that he did not play his Fr. year at Kilgore, so he will have 4 years still to play

This looks like a pretty good pickup to me. And he ran track in HS. When the season ended we saw that we were weak in several areas; OL, WR and CB. We've strengthened our roster with some really good recruits and transfers on the OL, WR, and now we're adding corners. It's obvious to me that this staff has a plan and they are ticking off position by position of need. I think we are going to see that the addition of DC Clint Brown and CB coach Travis Dixon is going to raise our defense to a whole new level this year. Go Cats.

Bakersfield College OL Jaron Marshall has been offered. He's a sophmore and is listed at 6'3 290.

I had just pulled up my tweets while eating dinner and saw it. He was also offered by Sacred Heart. His film is not too bad, but I am not sure how much he would see the field this season here. Although I could be wrong. He moves well but needs his technique honed a little.
