Based on what I have been able to find, there appears to be 2 seniors that are returning.
CB Koy Richardson was in the workout video this morning. If he is back, that really helps our secondary as he can play CB/S.
DT Michael Gayden is also apparently back. There was a posting by one of the athletic trainers a few days ago about 10 yard sprints. His name was on there.
Could there be more, yes. But as of now, those are the 2 newest names returning to the 2021 squad

I know the transfer portal has hit us hard, but I did not think it was that hard.......

75, I think this is the only 2 who could take the "bonus" season in 2021 -- since all athletes were able to take a redshirt for this 2020/2021 season. That list was much smaller for ACU than the list of ALL seniors.

That list was much smaller for ACU than the list of ALL seniors. That makes since. I was thinking I really missed the boat if Mansell left and other seniors and I did not realize. Still wished McCrary would take the lap, but I certainly understand. Personal story you can feel free to ignore:) In my years at ACU I almost took a lap, so I understand their choice and potential reasons for not taking the lap. I actually missed a red shirt year due to some missing paper work that did not get filed in the coaching change after my sophomore season. It was not officially discovered until late in my junior year when I corrected Coach Rippee (the O line coach at the time) that I was a true Junior and not a RS Soph like he thought. So I only had one more year, not 2 as he thought. Rippee was pretty pissed as he just lost a starting guard and promised to get back to me and get it worked out. A lass that shipped had sailed by then so I never got the red shirt year. I mention this as I personally had not planned on getting the RS so it would have come as a bonus year for me if they had got it back. I recall having some serious soul searching about why I was not more upset than I was when it was confirmed I lost the RS. Football has been my life up to that point but by then I was engaged (to my wife of nearly 20 years) and looking forward to life after football and seeing what was next. So I completely understand a senior's wish to not come back and take a lap. You have to be in the right head space to do everything that is required to play college football and if you head was already someplace else it is hard to get it focused again. I hope McCrary will find success in whatever he takes on next!

I'm visual so I need to see a list to really understand all this, so here is my effort to understand. Seniors on last years roster (all of whom could have come back). Byron Robinson--safety Branden Hohenstein--TE, entering transfer portal Billy McCrary--RB Koy Richardson--CB, coming back TJ Tumbleson--FB Lakendrick Jones--DT Hunter Kier--LB Jack Gibbens--LB, transfer portal--Minnesota Michael Gayden--DT, coming back Nico Russolillo--OL, said on twitter he wanted to come back David Stone--LS, said on Twitter he wanted to come back Jon Crisp--OL Kade Parmelly--OL, transfer portal, Duke Oscar Hernandez--K Garviea Freeny--DE Reynel Previlon--DE
Mavsman can help if I've missed someone and as we hear of some of these definitely leaving or definitely coming back, you (me) can mark them off the list or add them to next years's roster.
McConnell--WR and Parker--LB are the only non-seniors (I think) who have entered the transfer portal. Hill--DE opted out of last season and also will not return.

Here is the video with Koy in it. There might be others, but Koy is very recognizable.

Robert McKnight has returned for an extra season. It will be interesting to see where they play him. He is on of our better special teams players. He has played sparingly at CB, but was our most productive RB against Virginia

We do have more bodies at that spot now but that seems to be a better fit for him based on his Va performance,
