I know, I know the competition isn't all that great but it sure feels good to see wins and good play.

The 'Cats go 80 yards on 3 plays. Things are clicking for ACU!! Told my wife that. I think there’s an old joke about the coach, knowing the game was on tv, telling his guys to grab their knee if that happened.

Is it time to pull Earle?

Lamar looks totally demoralized, but the 'Cats have beaten them in every phase of the game. I love seeing Tyrese closing in on 100 yards playing in his backyard. While I wish that Earle could throw for 200 yards plus, it might make sense to give Mansell a lot of snaps in this 2nd half.

Lamar has still not broken the 100 yard work in total offense -- over halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Another "offensive" series for the Cardinals and STILL they have not broken 100 yards in total offense.

Adding insult to injury -- it was a horrendous lateral by the Lamar backup QB. Koy Richardson scoops up the loose ball and runs it easily for the TD. And, the back lateral counts as a run for a loss of 4 yards for the QB -- Lamar has finally reached 100 yards in offense, but that puts them at 96 yards of offense for the game in the 4th quarter. It has turned into a Keystone Cops episode. With Lamar coming back on the field on offense, they will try to get their 1st first down of the 2nd half.

Nope, the Lamar offense LOSES another yard on that truly offensive offensive series and they now stand at 95 yards of offense. Another punt. Will give ACU another chance to add to their 252 rushing yards on the night.

Very impressive win. And the stat of the night: zero penalties on the Cats.

ACU beat Lamar in every phase of the game -- badly. Looks like Lamar is the right team to play twice in one season, although I don't think they can play this badly again.
The 'Cats have reached the three wins I had predicted this year -- just hoping to see us pick up a few more.
I see that UCA came back to make a game of it losing to SHSU 35-45. That has to be considered a moral victory for the Bears. We will see if they have a letdown after a hard-fought loss to SHSU. Next Saturday will be the last time ACU will see Ken Collums as they will move to the ASUN full-time next year.

Frankly, I didn’t see that one coming although I will point out that I had ACU winning by 21.
Nice game plan, especially defensively. Superior execution. Zero penalties except free kick OB and Koy’s unsportsmanlike.
