Went through 247's list of 2022/2023 recruits and was mainly looking at players I wish we would offer. This was my quick top 5 wish list. These are positions that I thought we would need next year and these players didn't show signed or committed as of this list. I looked up elsewhere and see some have signed and or committed since then but a couple of others haven't. The only downside is each of these guys would take time to develop, even though they are 2-3 star recruits. I admit that I was mainly looking at height and size. I would love to pick up one of these players. Gai is progressing, but still needs physical growth and maturity. I am not sure if they just go for a transfer to fill in the role after Pleasant graduates. We won't be empty, but I think this will be the highest area of need; that PF/C role to help inside. #235 Kyran Ratliff: 6-8/190lb PF from Booker T. Washington (Shreveport) *** [Louisiana Cajuns] #274 L.J. Glover: 6-8/210lb C from Balboa City School (San Diego) *** [Undecided] #283 Perry Smith: 6-9/220lb PF from Legacy Early College (Greenville, SC) *** [LOI - Vermont] #307 Silas Sunday: 6-11/280 C from Our Savior Lutheran School (Rep. of Ireland) ** [LOI - Iona] #312 Didier Maleng: 6-9/200lb C from Lawton Christian School (Lawton) ** [Undecided] ***I loved this article on Maleng who was recently offered by SMU, but is still undecided.*** ny2lasports.com/article_one.aspx?articleid=4846

We may still need a transfer, but imagine Maleng and Hill both working the floor alongside our other players...

Pleased to see that Ma'shy Hill is following 6'11" Chris Loofe whom we have offered. Adding a 6'9" or 6'10" Hill and Loofe would be a shot in the arm for our program. Loofe picking up several mid-major offers.

Coleman moves so smoothly on the court it's hard to believe he's a 7' footer. Would be a huge (no pun intended) get for our program.

Sorry that I'm just seeing these offers, guys. Mavsman said there is a chance that Simmons and Gai come back for their covid year. Frankly, I'm tired of Simmons and why would we retain Gai, who never sees the court on a team that severely needs a competent post player. My vote (I don't have one, and my knowledge of what Tanner wants is severely lacking) is to cut both loose and start rebuilding this team.

Let me be clear- any player that played college basketball in 2020 has the option for an extra year of eligibility. I am in no way saying they are or aren't coming back. They simply have the option to play another year of college basketball, be that at ACU or somewhere else. I am confident Coach Tanner will meet with Simmons and Gai to determine what each side thinks is best, just like he will with the others
