I’m curious if anyone has been to high school football games this fall and seen kids that they think would be a good fit at ACU.
Not sure how many high school kids the football staff will go after this year. I’m very aware of the importance of the transfer portal for a school at our level.
I have two kids that come to mind…
Sie Owen Center at Grapevine HS. 6’4, 280. Watched him against a really good Argyle DL. Went up against a Big 10 Commit all night and I felt like he more than handled his own. Also, we brought on a DL from Grapevine last spring that Sie worked against regularly… his family has ACU connections. Seems like he could be a great fit.
Luke Anderson RB/LB at Fort Worth Christian. 6’2, 220. 10.82 100m time. I have seen him play twice this year. I have heard great things about his character and he is impressive to watch run the ball. Fast, strong, and incredible ability to stay on his feet. He plays both ways and his effort is palpable for all 4 quarters. I was able to see Reese Young play multiple times when he was at Stephenville and Luke reminds me a lot of Reese.
Would love to hear about more kids that would fit well at ACU…

That is if you haven’t already.

The coaches have been to both campuses. I’m thinking that they know about both these guys. Don’t hesitate to contact them. Especially if you know that there is some interest.

I sent this info to three of our coaches over a month ago. I'll preface this by saying that Owen is my nephew. Owen Miller is a Sophomore (16 yo) and the starting QB at Harding Academy in Searcy, AR. Through 6 games this year he has the following stats -- State Rank 4th -- 1,829 yards 1st -- 144 of 173 (83%) 3rd -- 304 YPG 3rd -- 18 TD's 2nd -- 2 INT 261 yds rushing All-Arkansas Preps Player of the Week 6'1" 170 lbs 4.75 40 yd 36" vertical 2025 Here is his Hudl page -- www.hudl.com/profile/13225198/Owen-MillerOwen has three brothers who are all on the Harding Univ football team. If he stays healthy and can add a little more size, he's going to be special.
