Overall, the game experience and the band are much improved over the last decade or two. I remember going to an Angelo State game a while back in which we were handily defeated, empty Shotwell, and the Big Purple had maybe two tubas. It was very depressing how far we had fallen. I think the powers who be should be commended for the recent improvements in the game experience so far. We are not Ohio State, UT, Tech or fill in the blank. But I will say we have a pretty loyal group of fans and alumni compared to other FCS Universities. Our attendance is one of the leaders in FCS in spite of being one of the smaller schools. Also, keep in mind, some of these kids parents were not born in our “golden years” of Fry, Wilbert, and Jim Lindsey.

Something does not have to be eliminated to be improved. No one, that I know of, ever ask for anything to "go away". Things can be improved upon. If some people are so stubborn that they refuse to listen to anyone, we have a problem. Audio/visuals are just fine if done right. The problem with some of ours is that the drown out the cheering and yelling of the thousands of students who are trying to support the team. This is especially true in the fourth quarter of games. Also, I question the crowd numbers. Is this tickets sold or people who actually enter the stadium? Substantial difference. There’s no doubt your one of the big timers in the seat backs eating banana pudding at halftime.

I pass on the banana pudding. Don't want to waste the calories. What is a "big timer"?

What did he nail? I don't yell at clouds. I will complement your remarks by calling them inane rather than totally stupid. I hope that you remain an armchair coach.

Funny... I thought this board was to talk about ACU athletics and support the staff and student-athletes. I am not saying we can't have our own opinions and express them, but when we veer off to calling people on the board out and/or making fun of others, have we not moved away from the point of the board? Furthermore, doesn't doing those things take us away from the most important part of our dear "Christian" college we love?
Come on guys...let's be better than this!

I agree 100%. I have supported ACU athletes and athletic programs for decades. I am interested in what is best for the athletes, the fans, things that will build the programs, and things that will enhance support for the teams from students and other fans, including alums.

My computer blocked your image. What did it show? It showed that of all NCAA Teams in the State of Texas, we are the least penalized team of them all averaging just 4.14 penalties per game.
