ACU hosts SFA at 2:30pm on Saturday 11-19-22
If ACU wins they win the WAC and a good chance at a spot in the FCS playoffs.
My thoughts are that Eastern Kentucky has the best chance to prevent us from going to the playoffs as WAC champions. They are presently ranked #1 in the ASUN - WAC Power Rankings.
For Eastern Kentucky to be the ASUN conference representative, they need to end up in a 3 way tie with Central Arkansas and Austin Peay each with a 3-2 ASUN record. In this scenario, each team would be 1-1 against the other 2 teams.
For this to happen Central Arkansas would have to lose to Jacksonville St and Eastern Kentucky would have to beat Kennesaw St.

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but UCA is 3-1 right now, and their game against Jacksonville St is not a conference game, so they’re locked in at 3-1? Man all these tie breaking scenarios are making my head hurt.

I’m about to give you a bigger headache- the ASUN counts games against transitioning teams in their standings win the WAC does not, so UCA-Ax\Jax state counts

Ok I’m gonna quit trying to figure all that out and just focus on whipping SFA this weekend.

Be sure to come bundled up. My app shows a high of 44 in Abilene on Saturday.

Both Utah schools put up more than 40 on SFA in recent weeks, so there's a lot of film of teams putting the ball in the endzone. I feel confident that our coaches will look all that over and have a super game plan. On top of that, UCA limited SFA third-down conversions last week (2 for 16, and then 2 for 7 on 4th down). Keep their stars (Gibson, Self, etc.) from breaking out with big plays, and the Wildcats should prevail. And it's time for the ACU skill position players to put it all together. [Edit: Let's play well enough that the SFA sports info program can remember some names. In their look at ACU, t hey have the Wildcat leading rusher listed as Jeremiah Robbins.]

I think we have come a long way and are a completely different team than when we first faced SFA. This game is going to be a lot of fun, I am super excited to go to this game and I’m ready to be cold.

We want either Central Arkansas and/or Kennesaw State to win... after we do, of course!

This game is going to be a lot of fun, I am super excited to go to this game and I’m ready to be cold. SFA is also in some inner turmoil right now. Some people feel that Carthel has "lost the locker room" as they put it. I am not sure how true that is. Carthel states his team will be ready. So, I am curious as to how SFA will be Saturday.

We need to concentrate on SFA and not worry about the playoffs. SFA has not had the season they expected but it will be greatly improved for them if they can beat us at home. They are still a dangerous team.

Carthel finds great joy in beating ACU in any situation, but even more so when a conference championship is on the line. Packin’ up my warm gear and getting fired up! Let’s go Cats!
