Just for clarification: We made a donation to ACU athletics after June 1st and before we were called about renewing our reserved seat tickets for 2023. They are in the middle section, upper deck. Not sure of the section #. I just told them that I wanted to be as far from Jack Griggs as possible, The donation we previously made was in excess of $480. So we still have to make another donation to buy the tickets? Help an old man out here? I am obviously not up to speed on this.

That makes perfect sense. I think if you contact director of ticketing Jordan Garrison - jtg20b@acu.edu - and tell him what happened, he will help you. I don’t have a phone number btw.

The ticket premium has been considered a “donation” in past years, it either goes to the exceptional fund or general fund, I can’t remember which. I have received a tax notice at the end of the year including that amount. I am confident it is the case in ‘23. I am not sure about excess of $480, my donations have been less.

Just make them aware that you’ve already made one for the applicable year. I’ve done that every year. As Cattitude said, contact Jordan, I’m sure he can handle it.

FYI, Jordan and his wife will be moving to Germany in August That’s too bad for ACU. I only know him from talking over the phone about tickets and such, but he’s always been over the top helpful and kind every time. He’ll be missed at ACU. Wish him well.

In this day and age it seems like that they would have that info in a computer base of some type. Everyone seems to have everything in one these days. Kind of scary to an old guy.

You would think, but I think they just don't always see the bigger picture with our accounts and donations, even though it is on the computer. When I bought my basketball season tickets, I didn't get my parking pass. I told Jerod and he said it was because I didn't make a big enough donation when I bought them. I told him that I had made a general donation to the WC a couple of months prior to that. He had never gone back and looked. He quickly went back and looked and apologized, then gave me a parking pass.

Not really a big deal. Was just shocked that an ACU football ticket would cost $80. Have paid $5 outside the stadium to go to the Cotton Bowl game and Cowboy playoff games there. Think that we paid $40 for tickets to the Rose Bowl a few years ago (Wisconsin vs Oregon). The first Super Bowl tickets that we bought cost $18. each. Has there been any inflation?

Tickets for the FCS Championship in Frisco go for about $200-300. Bowl tickets are in the same range. Currently, Rose Bowl tickets average between $270-650.

Hi everyone! I’ve been away far too long from this board. On top of a busy summer, I’m coming off 10 days of Covid. (Fully vaxed and boosted). Symptoms not worse than a cold, but just hanging around and won’t totally go away.
My wife and I renewed our season tickets but have moved from the 31 yard line to the 48 yard line. Total cost was $800 (100 more than last year’s seats.) I’ve likely mentioned this before, but my wife is an Aggie and has not been to a single A&M game since she graduated, but she loves ACU and is actually the one that suggested that we get season tickets 4 years ago. We are hoping to make the game in College Station this Fall - I’ll be in purple and she’ll be in maroon. I win either way because whoever scores, I get a kiss. 😁
We’ll miss Homecoming this year because of her 40th high school reunion and I’m not sure how likely I’ll be in talking her into letting me attend opening night (while she has to work) 3 days after we get back after a 3 week vacation. Either way, we are looking forward to the season!

That’s awesome. Sorry about the COVID. Hope you are feeling much better. I already jumped on and bought 6 tickets to the Aggie game. They are available now - at least for season ticket holders.
